This panel highlighting these three ancient human rights activists really spoke to me. The individual to the far left is Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism, and the one in the middle is Cyrus the Great. Cyrus the Great was far ahead of his time, and he created the Cyrus Cylinder. Regarded by many as the first attempt by a state to create some form of a declaration of human rights. Jews who were previously exiled from their homeland were allowed to return as a result of the Cyrus Cylinder. I do not remember the name of the individual to the far right.

This original sculpture "Compassion" by artists Michael Angelo Menconi & Charles Lowrie was made on May 30th @ Elements Glass Studio in effort to aid relief around the world via, Doctors Without Borders. This 14" round multi-dimensional sculpture will be auctioned off though the Transcensions website for the month of August 2011, the bidders can email bids in. The artists agreed to donate 100% of the proceeds to Doctors Without Borders, so the winner of the auction will be asked write the deductible check directly to: Doctors Without Borders.

I was in Sydney recently, and on my way home came across a number of protests on a number of topics.
Some of these "protests" were a sad display of discrimination and ignorance, others were an uplifting display of openness and compassion.

Rose,“Compassion”: Definitely one of my favourite roses. It has everything, flowers of a classical shape, the sweet scent of summer and colours from an apricot golden centre to warm flesh pink outer petals. As a climber it adorns any wall, flowers all the summer and has rich dark, disease resistant leaves. Who could ask more from a rose and with a name that is so appropriate for us all?
