One of the fascinating things in Rome, is all the poor Italians dressed as Romans trying to entertain the tourists. Their job is unbelievably hard. Standing for 8 hours under the bright sun at temperatures between 30-37 oC... I found this scene extremely sweet. A person dressed in Roman gear trying to have lunch, which his girlfriend had brought.
My new compassion key! I keep it on a bracelet to remind me to show compassion towards those around me.

THE SPIRIT OF COMPASSION
The Joan Joseph Foundation was established to build upon the visions and values of Joan Joseph, a Democratic leader, community organizer and humanitarian. Compassion was her hallmark and Joan's guiding principles and dedication to make the world a better place are legendary.
ABOUT JOAN
In the fall of 2009, a beam of light was pointed toward the heavens and a spirit was released to let the world know there is always a chance for us to make a better world. The legacy of Joan Joseph started with a simple knock on the door in 1972 when a representative of the McGovern Presidential Campaign asked for volunteers. It was the beginning of a long and successful political activism career for this social worker from New York.
FOUNDATION PROGRAMS
The Joan Joseph Foundation will provide scholarships and grants to post-secondary students as approved by the Board of Directors in the areas of human and animal rights, the arts and politics. The Joan Joseph Foundation does not provide loans.
