For this week's "Get Pushed!!" challenge, I was paired up with the talented addie cass. She made short work of my challenge to her, posting her photo within 12 hours of offering her my idea. Therefore, I decided it would only be in good taste if I waited to offer up my photo within 12 hours of the close of this week's push.
Addie's challenge to me was rather open-ended: "I noted you have a music museum of sorts (in your town) and realized I don't think I saw music in your stream. So: present us with music. No other parameters, it's all up to you." Like I said - open ended!
I kicked around a lot of ideas, from forced perspective shots up the fretboard of my old guitar, to laying out a pretty scene with the french horn hiding under my bed, to attempting to catch the dj in action at a wedding I went to last weekend. In the end, though, I kept coming back to something I've wanted to try since I became interested in (a) photography, (b) electronic music, in particular Tangerine Dream, and (c) their 1980 album Pergamon. My photo pales in comparison, but I think the album's photographer had many more lights to play with on the band's instruments than I have on my stereo.

O braço de 27 cm é cerca de 1cm maior em comprimento que o de 25cm. A mão é bem maior também. A articulação do cotovelo do corpo de 25 cm é mais suave.

It didn't cross my mind to shoot in the exact same position with the 18mm, so for comparison, please look at the top left corner of the 18mm frame. It's the bridge-thing on top of the 3 blue towers (Marina Bay Sands Hotel)

This is a comparison of the ISO performance between the Panasonic DMC LX7 and the LX3. Both cameras were set side by side and the shots were taken at the same time. Both images were processed in SilkyPix with default settings except for white balance which was set from a reference photo containing a WhiBal card. They were converted to TIFF and then loaded into PhotoShop CS6 to create the composite image.
This image has had noise reduction using Imagenomic Noiseware 5.
natural light vs. strobist
A lot of photographers talk about being masters of natural light. For fun I did a little comparison to see if all the work it takes to set up a "strobist" shot is really worth all the time and effort one takes to set up the shot. I know there is a time and place for natural light, don't get me wrong. But can you honestly tell me the natural light shot above is a shot that says "wow! look at me?" In this instance, I feel like the "natural light" shot is just a snapshot. Anyone could have taken this shot? For the strobist, there is a sense of artistry involved. Feel free to add your comments and thoughts. I am very interested in hearing what other photographers have to say about this debate between the two forms!

I've been shooting with a vintage Nikon L35AF and really enjoying the results -- especially with Kodak Pro Image 100 -- an apparently now-discontinued ISO 100 C-41 film that I believe was heavily marketed in Asia. I decided to try Ektar 100 as a replacement.
Left: Nikon L35AF, f/2.8 35mm, Kodak Pro Image 100. Right: Canon Sure Shot Supreme, f/2.8 38mm, Kodak Ektar 100. I always thought that Pro Image 100 really popped the blue skies, but in this test Ektar really goes to town.

This '56 Poderosa comes with a stunning colorscheme and just enough horses under the hood to get it rolling. Those truly were the glory days of the automobile. The owner has lovingly named his car "Coraline". Figure that one out yourself.
Here it is compared with the car from 10260 Downtown Diner, Lego's official offering of a similar car.

Last fall when the Iphone 11 pro came out I bought one hoping to use it for street photography. However I am using it more and more everyday. These were taken on two separate days but similar conditions. Both are right out of the camera and not edited. I cropped the 5D4 so the composition was similar. I think I made a good choice
