Jupiter-3 wide open comparison. The first lens is sharp (1961 year of production) the second is soft.
Here's a comparison of the two. I like them both, but they each have their faults, unfortunately. Everyday I like the face of Disney Store's more and more, and find the Mattel one kind of generic. The perfect doll I think would be Disney Store's head, Mattel's hair in the DS style, wearing a gown cut in the same pattern as Mattel but in DS's materials, only with layers of chiffon instead of organza. The skirt would have a mix of the butterfly detailing from Mattel's (even though it isn't film accurate), with the jewel detailing from DS's. As for the butterflies themselves I think I prefer the plastic ones, but the fabric ones are fine too, I really don't care too much. And to top her off, she'd be in DS's glass slippers since they look more like crystal.

The ankle joints in my female mnf have an odd shape. She can stand find, but when she isn't putting weight on the bottoms of the feet, she wants to point her toes.
Scale comparison b/w EID Bichun and Volks SD16 Daria
Bichun is on model body while Daria is on flat heels (plus doll stand). I'm very satisfied with the result. Also the male and female features of them both. It's been a long long search for a perfect pairing for my big girl. Her 63cm height is killing all the boys. lol

On Broadview Avenue I came across what is a rare bicycle in Toronto: a small-frame with a cargo compartment but enough room for two child seats.
It is equipped with a Bosch motor and battery.

I have different several types of nesting holes in my garden "bee-hotel" including these paper tubes. The first lot of tubes were all utilised by Red Mason Bees (Osmia bicornis). I replaced them with new ones. There's much less (Osmia bicornis) activity now, but a few are still nesting as are the smaller (Osmia leaiana).
I managed to photograph females of both species today and thought this would make a useful side-by-side comparison. (Osmia bicornis) is larger and fits slightly more snugly in the tube. (Osmia leaiana) has a gingery "moustache" and gingery hairs on the mandibles. (Osmia bicornis) uses mud for nest construction and (Osmia leaiana) uses chewed leaves.
