An ‘everyday’ scene of people waiting for the train at Cabramatta station. The colours and evenly spaced out positioning of the commuters caught my eye on this occasion.

The Vespa PX was first presented in 1977 (PX200/1998-2001) in Milan as the nuova linea model (new line).

A commuter train runs into Schonefeld station en route to Berlin Central.
It was a glorious showery evening which offered many glorious photo opportunities.
This guy passed me going around 35 mph on Hwy 99E. When we parted at a fork in the road, he appeared to be heading off towards Canby where I imagine he’s building a spaceport.

A true anomoly in the Deep South, Nashville has a small commuter rail system cobbled together from used rolling stock and a hospitable short line operator. In August 2017 I spent a few very fun days with friends in Nashville focused on seeing the full solar eclipse which would be at full totality over Nasvhille. On one morning I had a friend drop me off at the Mt. Juliet station where I road the train into town. After arriving I was able to shoot an arriving and departing. Today the train surprisingly still runs, but unfortunately the rolling stock has been rebranded into an awful new paint scheme
Train 953 from Gare-Central stop at Mont-Royal on 8 July 1987. The tandem three-car sets of EMUs, one-third of the entire fleet of 18, were built by CC&F around 1952 for Montreal area electric commuter train service.
On an extremely hot early afternoon on Chicago's near west side, UP Y728 shoves a string of bilevels from the California Avenue coach yard towards Ogilvie Transportation Center.

McCloud, California (pop. 1,101), a logging town in times past. This rail line was almost certainly used to transport logs to market from McCloud.

If you want to know whether or not you're due for a sensor cleaning, take a long exposure with negative space.
So much clean up went into this shot because of those annoying little spots and I'm sure I missed some, but hey, perfection is overrated, right?

Here is an Alaska Railroad train looking more like a big city urban commuter train than the mountain climbing wilderness railroad people normally think of!
This is train 215W, the Grandview Cruise Train loading passengers at the Bill Sheffield Alaska Railroad Depot located at Anchorage Ted Stevens International Airport depot which opened in 2003. A typical Alaskan pork barrel boondoggle, while modern and gorgeous it has never lived up to its potential as told here: www.adn.com/alaska-news/article/anchorage-airport-train-d...
One everyone is aboard the 'low level dome cars' the train will depart out the branch and hang a right at the wye and enter the mainline at CP 1102 to head south on a spectacular journey to Seward. This Sunday special was operated exclusively for Holland America lines and everyone aboard is destined to a cruise ship docked at tidewater at the head of Resurrection Bay.

After a hard days toil in the shed, I needed a quick blast on the bike and went to meet Kay on her commute home.
Now I know how she got so fast and tough - methinks there are rocks in those panniers. Kay tells me after riding this old heavy bike (Specialized Rockhopper c.1997) with the panniers, her mountain bikes feel like super lightweights.

A very strange two days. My wife and I travelled to Harley St in London to see a cancer specialist. Hardly in the mood for taking photos. Full of nerves and in a rush beforehand I took none. After the meeting (not good, mood appropriate) we sat in contemplative silence on the train. I couldn't go home without any images, though, no matter the prognosis.
(the black background completely obscures where the edges of my photo are, and the black spaces in the photo were meant to be part of the composition.... oh well ...)
