There are repercussions of its breakdown in inequality of its people, hostility and tribalism, and individualistic selfishness. When our communities are strong, we see the evidence in its inclusive nature, and the social bonds, cooperation, and flourishing of its people. Our goal is to promote regenerative community bonding, particularly in those communities whose populations experience marginalization and inequality. Community bonding helps neighbors take ownership over making positive change, and for their thriving in the future.The intent of the display is giving the community a place where everyone can be seen and heard, regardless of race, background or status. The intention is giving people a voice, giving the unheard the chance to be heard.

Rainbow Bricks returned to Medowie for Medowie Brickfest on a beautiful sunny Spring Saturday 15th September. This community event was a successful day for everyone. And was one of the first events to support all 3 Medowie schools.
We had over 35 Rainbow Bricks exhibitors from across NSW bring their creations and collections to display. Included were many first time exhibitors who had a ball and will be back again to display.
There was something for the kids of all ages. There were displays with vintage sets through to some brand new sets such as Hogwarts Castle and motorised Roller Coast. Of course we have lots of MOCs [My Own Creations] on display including a huge new city tower building and a motorised Dr Who's K9.
As well as displays we had plenty of activities for the kids and the yong at heart to do after being inspirated by the displays. There was a new Tower building activity for the kids which was a hit and will be at other events going forward. As a result of the kids work we have some ideas on improving this activity which is great. Plus all the old favourities like the Build area, RC Tracker driving area and the Speed Builds where there and as popular as ever.

College and local community leaders recently celebrated the opening of the College’s second major art exhibition. “Warhol Featuring Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop| Works from the Bank of America Collection” features portfolios and individual prints by Andy Warhol. The exhibition also includes more than 100 photographs by Warhol, comprised of both black-and-white gelatin silver prints and color Polaroid prints featuring unidentified figures and celebrities alike.
Community & Neighborhood Services worked with local senior citizens and youth to create murals to adorn the Brentwood Community Garden.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, amongst other community partners, shared resources at the 2023 Black Families Summit. The summit, hosted by the Women + Girls Research Alliance in partnership with the UNC Charlotte Office of Diversity and Inclusion, invited families and community members to participate on wellness, education, policy, housing, and more.

The Honolulu Community Action Program (HCAP) is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving Oahu’s needy population since 1965.
Their philosophy is that no individual should be denied the opportunity to share and contribute fully to the best of his/her capabilities in the social and economic well-being and prosperity of our society.
Annually, HCAP serves more than 17,000 low-income clients in the areas of job preparation, placement and follow-up; education for children, youth and adults; basic needs including food, shelter and utilities; community advocacy; coordination and resource mobilization.

Damascus Community Pathways Project creates a more personal connection between the town of Damascus and the Appalachian Trail, offering hikers and loved ones a chance to purchase engraved bricks to be placed on the portion of the trail that runs through Damascus.
