Longue balade de fin de journée dans ma petite ville, sur le chemin du retour, je suis arrivée sur la place où la collégiale domine. All the catholic children doing what they used to call "First Communion" - now the name has changed..... it was when the Mass was said in latin and when people used to sing a lot in french and in latin.
Communion again at St John the Evangelist church in Walton, Warrington, Cheshire on Wednesday morning. Sadly taken after someone extinguished the Advent Candle.
I inherited this Zeiss Jena Zebra M42 50mm lens. It needs some attention but I cannot fix it so till it dies it can sit on my Nex 5N

I've spent the past 5 years both asking and trying not to ask what happens after we die.
My entire life I've been horrified at the thought of dying. My dreams have been about death as far back as I can remember (which, btw, was 4 years old).
How do you make sense out of something that lives on the other side of reason?
I make art. I confront the things that terrify me. Because the more you confront those fears, the more control you have over them over the power they hold.
I crave control, like the greatest prize in a world of uncertainties. Death, the most uncertain of all. We wonder - when will it happen? How? What was it all for? I shudder at those questions. But what a privilege to ask them.
This image - I am the tree, leaves springing forth from my life. I am the rock, grounded and grounding. I am bound to the earth with those sinewy white roots, attached. I am the blood of my flesh and the blood of the world, entwined. I am the sun and I am the uneasy fog that hides it. I am flesh and bone and one day, it should be an honor to give it all back. To let those particles, so alive and vibrant, fall to ash and like the Phoenix be reborn into new life. It should be an honor. Still, I will them to stay.

Off the Boat and heading to town, St Alban's Anglican Church in Copenhagen was our first stop. It says they are part of the Diocese in Europe of The Church of England, and the worldwide Anglican Communion. The present church was built close to the heart of Copenhagen in 1885 and was consecrated in 1887 The Church was named after Saint Alban, the first martyr of England, murdered on the 22nd of June in the year 303 A.D. In line with Synod recommendations, the Church Council has decided that St. Alban’s should become a green church and proactive on environmental issues. This reflects badly on the United States and its lackluster approach to a green environment
