Our annual May Lincoln weekend and we had some company this time round.
We organised a meal at Ole Ole Tapas with a few friends - Alice, Isobel, Trisha and Cindy. We all walked up Steep Hill to get there but it was well worth the effort - the tapas at Ole Ole is amazing.
Aslo gave a first outing to my modified handbag. Many thanks to Gemma for helping with the wiring and advice for this - it looks amazing! I'm so pleased with it!
La Vue Juste : La Renaissance Perpétuelle
L’univers n'est pas un bloc de matière solide et figé qui avance dans le temps. En réalité, il fonctionne comme un film numérique projeté à une vitesse vertigineuse : chaque millionième de seconde, l'univers entier s’éteint et se réactualise. C’est ce qu’on appelle la Manifestcessation.
Rien n'est permanent. À chaque flash de réactualisation, l'univers est "neuf". Si nous avons l'impression que les choses sont stables, lourdes ou douloureuses, c'est uniquement parce que notre mémoire et nos habitudes (nos Champs Morphogénétiques) forcent mécaniquement le flash suivant à ressembler au précédent.
Le Locus Rectus : La Cabine de Contrôle
Le Locus Rectus est l'endroit précis, au centre de notre conscience, d'où nous observons ce processus. C'est notre "point d'ancrage juste". Lorsque nous nous plaçons dans cet état, nous cessons de subir la réalité pour devenir ceux qui la projettent sur la Toile Suprale. Au lieu d'être emportés par le chaos des événements, nous restons stables au point d'origine, là où nous pouvons consciemment influencer la prochaine mise à jour de l'univers.
Le Fides : Le Moteur de la Certitude
Pour que cette mise à jour soit efficace, elle nécessite le Fides. Le Fides n'est pas une simple croyance ou un espoir fragile ; c'est une confiance absolue et inébranlable dans la structure de la réalité. C'est la certitude que l'univers répond à notre intention.
Le Fides est le carburant qui permet de maintenir le Locus Rectus stable. Sans cette foi profonde dans notre capacité à transformer le champ, l'injection de lumière reste superficielle. Le Fides est ce qui donne "corps" et autorité à notre volonté de changement.
L'Injection de Lumière : Gaudium et Pax
Grâce à la force du Fides, nous pouvons profiter de chaque micro-seconde de mise à jour pour injecter deux fréquences fondamentales dans la trame du monde :
* Le Gaudium : C'est la joie sans cause, un état de gratitude pur qui ne dépend d'aucune circonstance extérieure. En injectant du Gaudium, nous colorons le prochain millionième de seconde avec une énergie de célébration créatrice.
* La Pax : C'est la paix profonde (le Pax-Urale), le silence qui stabilise la forme. Elle permet à la réalité de se manifester sans la tension de la peur ou de la résistance, dissolvant ainsi les racines de la souffrance.
Le rôle des "Ondes de Propagation"
Dans cette vision, les ondes de propagation sont les vibrations que nous émettons depuis notre Locus Rectus. Elles sont les messagères de notre Fides, transportant le Gaudium et la Pax vers l'extérieur.
Comme un caillou jeté dans une mare, chaque intention de paix soutenue par une confiance totale crée une ride qui modifie la structure du champ tout entier. En choisissant consciemment la nature de nos rides, nous ne changeons pas seulement notre propre état d'esprit ; nous modifions la "texture" même de l'univers qui se reconstruit autour de nous. C'est par ce mouvement de création continue que nous libérons l'espace de sa douleur et manifestons notre véritable nature.

Bayon Khmer temple , Angor Wat, Cambodia
One of my dream trips to this beautiful country Cambodia.
Ta Prohm is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara (in Khmer: រាជវិហារ). Located approximately one kilometre east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. UNESCO inscribed Ta Prohm on the World Heritage List in 1992. Today, it is one of the most visited complexes in Cambodia’s Angkor region. The conservation and restoration of Ta Prohm is a partnership project of the Archaeological Survey of India and the APSARA (Authority for the Protection and Management of Angkor and the Region of Siem Reap).
The Bayon was the last state temple to be built at Angkor, and the only Angkorian state temple to be built primarily as a Mahayana Buddhist shrine dedicated to the Buddha, though a great number of minor and local deities were also encompassed as representatives of the various districts and cities of the realm. It was the centrepiece of Jayavarman VII's massive program of monumental construction and public works, which was also responsible for the walls and nāga-bridges of Angkor Thom and the temples of Preah Khan, Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei
The similarity of the 216 gigantic faces on the temple's towers to other statues of the king has led many scholars to the conclusion that the faces are representations of Jayavarman VII himself. Others have said that the faces belong to the bodhisattva of compassion called Avalokitesvara or Lokesvara. The two hypotheses need not be regarded as mutually exclusive. Angkor scholar George Coedès has theorized that Jayavarman stood squarely in the tradition of the Khmer monarchs in thinking of himself as a "devaraja" (god-king), the salient difference being that while his predecessors were Hindus and regarded themselves as consubstantial with Shiva and his symbol the lingam, Jayavarman as a Buddhist identified himself with the Buddha and the bodhisattva

Description: 2014-8-16: After taking a break for almost more than a month from sunset shooting (due to erratic weather and workload at the office), I was finally able to spend the time for a quick sunset sesssion. Not being able to decide earlier on the shooting location, I finally started my car and made my way to place that I very seldom shoot during sunset in the city. Alhamdulillah, the weather stays clear in the evening and I am glad that I decided to step back from the usual viewpoint that I usually shoot. Hopefully the weather further improves in the next few days. The image is also part of the image sequence taken for my time-lapse session that evening. Description: 27th July 2013. The blue hour on that particular morning was showing a hint of clear sunrise. After finishing work, immediately made my way to this lovely mosque in Puchong for a "sunrise" session. Alhamdulillah that although it is not everyday, that day I am still able to enjoy the beautiful creation of God.

Aspects of the National Museum of Australia.
ARM and Robert Peck von Hartel Trethowan architects jointly won an international competition in 1997 to design it. The Museum wraps around 11 hectares on the Acton Peninsula on Lake Burley Griffin, opposite Romaldo Giurgola's Parliament House.
There are two big architectural ideas that guide the building's shape: the Boolean string, which embodies our views on Australian history as tangled and incomplete, and the jigsaw puzzle, which signifies that the Museum is conceptually unfinished. It is a work in progress towards the articulation of the Australian experience that evolves over time.
Each of the jigsaw-puzzle pieces has a different stylised appearance and construction type. Together, the pieces form an incomplete circle around the central Garden of Australian Dreams.
External and internal walls have giant Braille signs like goosebumps. The signs spell out phrases, some colloquial, some suggestive: "Sorry, mate", "She'll be right", "Time will tell", "Who is my neighbour?" and "God knows".

My lovely friend Bella came over for the weekend at the end of November. And on the Friday night we also met up with Alice who came for a night out. We had a lovely time!

Whistling Kite - has a nest and mate nearby
Scientific Name: Haliastur sphenurus
Description: The Whistling Kite is a medium-sized raptor (bird of prey) with a shaggy appearance. It has a light brown head and underparts, with pale streaks, and dark sandy-brown wings with paler undersides. The underwings have a characteristic pale 'M' shape when open. The head and body are relatively narrow and the tail is rounded. The wings are long and well-rounded, with a wingspan of 120 cm to 145 cm. The sexes are similar, but the females are larger. Yong birds are slightly darker above, with paler streaking on head and underbody. They are often seen near water or around farms, soaring in a lazy circling flight pattern.
Similar species: Several other raptors may be confused with the Whistling Kite, including the Little Eagle, Hieraaetus morphnoides, other kites and harriers. These can only be separated by factors such as flight silhouette and style and the overall body shape.
Distribution: The Whistling Kite is widespread over mainland Australia but uncommon in Tasmania, and is also found in New Guinea, the Solomons and New Caledonia.
Habitat: The Whistling Kite is found in woodlands, open country and particularly wetlands. It is also common around farmland, vineyards and anywhere where carrion (dead animals) can be found (e.g. abattoirs, rubbish dumps and roadsides). Prefers tall trees for nesting.
Feeding: Whistling Kites soar above the ground, trees and water to search for prey such as carrion (dead animals) and small live animals such as mammals, birds, fish and insects.
Breeding: The Whistling Kite appears to be monogamous, with some breeding pairs remaining in a territory throughout the year and pairs actively defend the area around a nest. The bulky nest platform is built of sticks in a tall tree and may be reused, growing larger over time. Both sexes build the nest and incubate the eggs (the female does most of the incubation however) and may breed two or three times a year. The young stay with the parents after fledging for about six to eight weeks.
Calls: Loud descending whistle: 'teee-ti-ti'.
Minimum Size: 50cm
Maximum Size: 60cm
Average size: 55cm
Average weight: 770g
Breeding season: July to January in south; March to October in north.
Clutch Size: One to three, usually two.
Incubation: 38 days
Nestling Period: 46 days

Thanks so much to everyone who commented so thoughtfully on Coot and Ro's deaths. Several of you sent email and thanks especially for that. We do miss our girls.
We are still choked up from losing them, and we weren't going to get another dog right away. Maybe next summer, we said, or maybe not at all.
But local rescuer Denise, who is the hero of this story, had retrieved a five year-old stray from a high-kill shelter in a big city a few hours drive from here. Though she was a bright, well-behaved and friendly dog, no-one had claimed her or taken her for adoption.
Her two weeks were up and she was about to be euthanized. Denise took her on behalf of the local rescue group, not having a home for her in advance, and not even knowing how good a candidate she would be for adoption.
When we met her, she walked over, stepped into my lap and began licking my face. There was something about her, a sentience that called out sweetly and clearly.
So we adopted her. After a few days she told us her name was "Rabbit". The timing was wrong, but there is something special about this creature.
Still in shock from her time at the shelter, Rabbit wouldn't go out of the house, or even pee unless she was on a leash. Our wide-open spaces clearly terrified her. When I would take her off the leash she would hang close by, walking with me, never getting too far ahead or lagging behind.
Rabbit wouldn't walk fast, let alone run, always moving meekly and tentatively, tail firmly tucked beneath her.
She relaxed little by little on subsequent walks, although she still wouldn't go out without me nor venture far away.
Today, for the first time, she seemed to realize that the place was all hers, and she broke into a wild run, racing back and forth from one end of the paddock to the other, leaping and brisking.
It was just great to see her let go.
