I'm trying to get the hang of my Lensbaby. It's definitely not easy. I just can't seem to get the focus right and even though it's not perfect in this shot, I really loved the colours of the bokeh.
There was a guy walking in this area talking on his phone, I would have liked him in the shot. Instead, he noticed me and walked out of the frame.
sometimes people say they like to spell words like favorite---favourite and color---colour. sometimes i think its just their way of saying they dont want to conform and they think they are being cool for it. I dont know. not to offend anyone who likes spelling words that old english way, I just dont find it special or creative. I am also in a very bad mood right now due to the fact that I am homesick :'(
A man was flying this kite on Rannoch Moor and he let me play with it and photograph it. I didn't realise how much strength you need to manage a kite of this size in just a small amount of wind!
It's September 1987 and former Southdown Leyland Leopard / Plaxton ANJ 308T acquired by Rennies in the previous month passes Dunfermline Bus Station.
I noticed this spectrum of light in my kitchen and traced it to a bottle of (transparent) window cleaner.
Most definitely an autumnal feel when out and about for a good walk ~ the colours are changing!!

I did it. After collecting, exchanging and ordering lots of parts I´ve finished the full frame of the current City Space theme minifigures with matching helmet and arm colours, including tough combinations like coral, teal, light aqua and neon yellow, and also old and new gray tones.
Some additonal notes:
1) I know there are propably more combinations, but they are either very hard to obtain, redundant or even both. Like - there´s the pearl light gray dude on the bottom, and a flat silver one would look nearly identical, while there´s only one known figure with a pair of flat silver arms from a promotional polybag...
2) I´ve switched the gold hands on the darker designs (like the official figs have) for a cleaner look, and I think it´s very fitting at all - even on the dark blue one.
3) I might find other combinations in the future, but for now I consider this project finished, and am very satisfied with the results.
Now to give each colour a designated role ;)
What do you think?
As well as the 3 in special colours a 3 ship formation performed several fly-byes to mark 35 years since the formation of the TTIF at Fairford 17/7/15.

The colours in the image are the result of birefringence and relate to the residual stress in the film. The colour is generally uniform (with some contrast where an additional thickness of film exists or where wrinkling has resulted in a different apparent thickness). This is indicative of both a uniform film thickness and of the uniformity of the drawing process used to make the film. In the region of the tear, however, the colours indicate strain-induced orientation: because the material is above the glass transition temperature of PE (-30 deg C) chain sliding occurs readily under and applied stress and the molecules become aligned along the tensile axis. The strain is permanent and does not relax when the stress is removed. However, if the material were annealed at ~100 deg C, it would relax towards its original configuration, and uniform colour would again be observed.
System
Low density polyethylene (LDPE)
Composition
Not specified
Reaction
Processing
This film is made by biaxially stretching heated material during the extrusion process.
Applications
Polyethylene is the most common polymer. Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is widely used as a film for packaging
Sample preparation
The packet has been torn open, to demonstrate residual chain alignement around the tear
Technique
Cross-polarised light microscopy
