Near Collieston, Aberdeenshire, NE Scotland. This was the climax of a period of intense solar activity, which gave magnificent displays from my house for several nights in a row. This photo is now almost 9 years old and taken on a Canon 10D, so a little grainy.

I wanted to try out my newly acquired Nikon D5200 . Went to the Trivandrum zoo, but it was very crowded with holiday crowd. So, went to the nearby Kanakakunnu. This colourful kiosk caught my attention.What better subject to try the colour rendition of my new acquisition!. Disclaimer: it is not the intention of the photographer to endorse any of the brands herein. :-)

I probably should have chosen a brighter, lighter blue (it's a big pack of pens!) so I may re-do this set with slightly different colours/shades.

And yes I know the primary colours should really be magenta, yellow and cyan but since these are felt pens red, yellow and blue makes more sense.
