With people milling about and with zero traffic, expectation was hanging heavy in the air for me, especially as I had taken a good 7hr long distance detour to witness this annual religious orgy- the Trichur Pooram! I was taking pictures left, right and centre, which greatly amused some of the passers by! (Trichur/ Thrissur, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016)

Families, residents and visitors can now walk, hike, bike or jog safely along the new Tynehead cycling and pedestrian overpass in Surrey. Spanning highway 1, the structure is 122 metres long and is illuminated by multi-coloured lights at night. The overpass is a result of a partnership between the federal and provincial government and the City of Surrey.

Vicious Fish - Vivid Sydney
They glide here and glide there
These vicious fish are everywhere
In bright reds or blues or pinks or greens
These vicious fish love to be seen.
With vicious fish, don't get to near
They're pretty fragile, so I hear.
With beautiful colors in their skin
They change their colour from within.
These vicious fish are a very odd sight
Only seen around here at night.
And while they look a monstrous fright,
You'll just love their VIVID light

Judging from the shady characters going in there with hooded tops, I would say the 'Family Entertainment Centre' description is a bit inaccurate.
The sign did however make for a good photo while I was on my night time expedition.

Chinatown and Singapore River will also be transformed with a multitude of lanterns, street lighting and festive bazaars for the Mid-Autumn Festival (8 – 30 September 2007). The celebration is a Chinese tradition where families and friends gather for reunions, enjoying mooncakes and sipping tea while viewing the moon at its fullest and brightest. This year, Chinatown will become a magical fairyland filled with lanterns and musical fairies.

This one doesn't bear close scrutiny I'm afraid, scanned from a matt print - I can't find the neg.
Taken one night in July 1984 from the garden of a rented holiday cottage in Cromer, looking at the illuminations along the seafront. These were strings of coloured lights attached to old concrete lamp posts which no longer had their tops. I had hoped to catch the lights over the crazy golf course to the left of the coloured lights, which consisted of a network of household bulbs strung all over the course from posts, but I was too late and missed them and it was our last night.
Also notable is the yellow sodium main road lighting along the seafront road, now falling from favour all over Britain. This scene is now completely changed in all probability.
