I love the coloured light that gets 'projected' across the ground here by the colourful window in the background - thought it was worth a few shots this morning. A lovely sunny morning - in contrast to the very rainy evening that came later.
Another busy day at work - though slightly less frantic than last week. Didn't manage to do Pilates at lunch, as something came up just before it that I had to deal with. I'm not feeling very well today though, so didn't mind too much that I had to miss it.
Good news from my cousin's wife that my other cousin is still nicely on the mend from her worrying bout of flu and pneumonia. Unfortunately my Mum's now under the weather with another suspected infection - really hope that clears up soon.
This is an old image recycled; it only took a little bit of tweaking to get it there, but I think it works now!
Warm spectacles, a cold drink and a cordless phone conspire to be one of the least inspired still life photos ever seen.

This year Vivid Sydney Festival organizers chose to make the walls and ceiling of the historic Argyle Cut, in the Rocks, the focus of an interesting and colourful daisy chain and roses lightshow.
The Argyle Cut is located on Argyle St in Sydney's Rocks district. It is a short tunnel cut by convicts through the sandstone ridge of The Rocks to connect Sydney Cove with Darling Harbour and Millers Point. It was considered an engineering challenge for its day when it was started in 1843 by convicts with hammers and chisels. However it was successfully completed in 1867 with the help of explosives. It is possible today to walk through the Argyle Cut to the corner of Lower Fort Rd.
While the lightshows around the harbour are stunning it is worth noting that there is just so much more to the Vivid Sydney Festival and more than one night does need to be allocated to see all that this festival has to offer.

The night before you trim the tree, you take a string of Christmas tree lights and place them on a glass coffee table and just start experimenting.

My elder son and his wife gave me a Bush bluetooth speaker for Christmas. I can play songs on it which I've downloaded to my iPhone – clever stuff. It has a red on/charging light and a flashing blue light when it's playing. It makes an interesting pattern when played in the dark.

Great Falls in the Waterdown section of Hamilton was lit up again with coloured spotlights on January 16, 2010. Some lights were placed behind the ice in the cave under the waterfall.
This photo shows the water falling into its newly formed ice volcano.
