Colour pencil. 5cm x 8cm. 2005.
Inspired in Axel Amuchastegui paintings who lived in my town and was the 3 most important animal painter ever!!;)
The wood is Algarrobo, national hardest tree with red taninos! good for construction and winter times for fire, bad for nature, this is like a small calling for the "others".
Graphite on paper. 10cm x 10cm. 2005
Like a tribute to HelmutDitsch.com who paint so much well our landscapes;)
Even though this picture isn't artistically correct in anyway, plus she seems to have one huge ear - I love this because somehow I captured her attitude.
Her attitude is mainly 'and what of it?' I drew this a couple of years ago from a photo of her when she was in my clothes cupboard and wouldn't come out.
Believe me, this cat has attitude in spades. She seems to be in charge of every situation

On the north coast of Cornwall, between Newquay and Padstow, its's a small and happy-feeling place. When we first visited we stayed in a lovely spacious flat at the MP Golf Club and booked J in for some surfing lessons; he loved it, has done lots since, including much with his Dad, and now he himself teaches surfing. This was sketched on our last morning when we treated ourselves to delicious fish-&-chips on a table by the beach.
We've since stayed with more family for a week in a terrific large house within a few minutes walk from the beach. Lovely family memories.
Sketch A4; pen, watercolour and colour-pencil.
