My drawing of the southmost camp. I sat on a rock for 2 hours, it was a lovely evening.
It's not finished. The division line in the middle...it's a book, next time I take sheets of paper.

i'm having a good time in my life.
during the last week, i have:
- graduated (finally)
- got my national insurance number (to officially work in the UK)
- found the headphones i love so much i'd been looking for for months (they were the last pair in the only shop that has them. i was buying them in a robbing kind of way lol)
- had some good time, like staying in Soho for a cup of coffee and a good chat until 5 am, with my favourite person in London
- had some really good meals that had almost no fat (usually my definition of good meals includes a lot of fat which would definitely result in gaining extra weights, equals nightmare)
- succeeded in getting Kitty to decide to stay another few weeks (although it's not for me, i'm still happy)
during the next week, i will:
- get the graduation documentation from school and start applying for the visa
- get sent to take backstage photos at four events of London Fashion Week (woooohoooooooo, yes you heard me, London Fashion Week for fuck's sake). this is what they'd call dream comes true
- spend some more quality time with my favourite person, hopefully, if both of us are not too busy
- get more jobs as a photographer, hopefully, if plans work out
- get a job, one that could pay my rent. not sure if i could make it happen but will need to try harder
- celebrate my birthday. will make sure to get really drunk and make a joke out of everybody that attends
have to admit, London Fashion Week and my birthday in one week is a little too much (fun) to handle ^^

My painting, after Jan Vermeer's original.
Taking a break from holiday photos.
I saw the film, hm, 3x, read Tracy Chevaliers book, which was great, she made her story just watching J.V.s painting.
The film was excellent, like a Rembrant's paintings or more so, Jan Vermeer's, every frame...
I get obcessed with some subjects, I painted this subject 8x, here in blue.
Mixed media, watercolour,gouache,coloured pencils.
(a.k.a. Aditi, Vishvarupa, Mahamaya) is the goddess of spaciousness, regent of manifest creation, the universal earth mother. (Bhu) means "earth" in the sense of physical manifestations, and she is associated with the five great elements (mahabhutas) in particular. In one text, the universe is said to emerge from her like a web from a spider. She is the womb of creation, from which all that is knowable emerges and will return. She is located everywhere, but most associated with the heart. Hers is the peace and equanimity that is found in the open space of divine love. She is described as being regal, amicable and even as "she who nurse the world" . Her beauty is repeatedly emphasized in visualization texts and invocations, alluding to the powerful desire beings have to remain alive so they may continue to embrace physical existence. Hymns say that all other goddesses are forms that Bhuvaneshvari takes to oversee and protect the world . Like all the Wisdom Goddesses, she can reveal ultimate truth, but she is often propitiated for well being and material success. When only part of her full being is recognized, she is known as Maya, the divine illusion. In Bhuvaneshvari, mystics recognize the Great Goddess taking form for the sheer delight of being. Thus, all creation is Bhuvaneshvari's body, all illusions are her play, and all beings within it are her ornaments.

I just got my camera back from a servicing job by Canon. Initially, they told me it would take up to six working days to fix the problem of a broken shutter, but I got it back in two days. :)
This shot was taken sometime back though.

I thought I'd create my own rubber stamps, after being inspired by a few experts here, and to have something to add extra interest and colour to my journal...
Took me more than an hour to carve out this simple-looking "Star"!
I should just stick to my day job (if I have one to stick to, that is)...
Anyway, I am trying out some Staedtler Luna Watercolour Pencils (the usual markers and watercolours seem to be cumbersome for my journal paper), and I think I kinda like it!

Another page is stitched, it became a colourful one. When I finished the sun appeared for a few minutes and I hurried to make the most of it ... :-)
Have a lovely tuesday!
I decided to finally draw on one of my Gelli plate print today. I had made this goddess-like form and completed the drawing with Soft Derwent colour pencils.
Julia started the ball rolling on the Portrait Party which is well worth viewing here:
