Bough my new ones at Uncanny Dreams 2013 :) I am a very happy Penny. Silas will have the black, Max will have the white, Olivia will have red, and Lena of course will inherit the blue, cause who else in my crew would WANT to play nintendogs? ;)
Now, I just need a real one & animal crossing...
My mum collects thimbles (err, little things you put over your fingers to stop you getting pricked).
I had my camera at hers on a recent trip over so thought I'd try to grab a few shots of them lined up. Most of my shots were immediately deleted (too dark, hand held) but I liked the mix of bokeh this one has.
I added a texture layer to this as I thought I might try an aged look photo in colour - I didn't like it but left the layer for the mono process anyway.

Time for a change, yet again. I have trouble doing the same thing for very long. Now I am trying some art and digital art - mixed media. Having a tremendous amount of fun and my enthusiasm and mojo have returned!
since my original collection was smashed, i have been given so many tea cups by kind and generous friends and strangers. these are most of them (not hanging on the wall any more, but set on a table).
So this my Disney Princess movie collection! They are my favorite dolls and I try to get their dresses like they are in the movie, I just love them haha <3

What Makes Me Happy ~ brilliant color esp. orangey reds, my collection of tiny boxes, many of which are souvenirs from my travels, seeing and using things my daughter has woven or knitted, lady bugs, the stars in the night sky.
The background is a tea towel woven by my daughter, Amy. The flower is a box top of a lacquer box I brought back from Russia.

A wall display unit I made from Teak wood. All the wood pieces are groove-jointed. It has a glass panel that slides into grooves routered into the outside frame.
All the models here designed and folded by me (except for the deck of cards though). Photo is not the best, but I hope you can make out what is what.

Just some of the new Bratz dolls for Fall 2011. More promo shots were released today on the CNN website including a video of Isaac Larian showing us how Bratz dolls are created. I love Masquerade the most because it's the line most similar to something MGAE would of created back in the Bratz glory days. It's a hopeful sign of things to come :)

it looks like i haven't done a collective shot in a few years, so here is what I have displayed as of this month :) Some B dolls are packed up, but these are the keepers - here's hoping that my collection won't grow too much in 2012... I am trying to scale back a bit (only saving for a blonde kenner <3), plus there is no shelf space for more so that will be my incentive to not buy too much ;)
Actually, this box contains a fairly nice selection of fossils and flints. There are clams from Texas, bits of petrified wood, and two better quality fossils (purchased at rock shops), including a jawbone from the early horse, Epihippus, which once roamed the plains of the American continent.
So I am a member of the Wehrmacht Awards Forums (If you are a WWII collector/enthusiast, definitely recommend you join) and another member posted pics of a guy's vehicle collection located somewhere in Belgium. What you see here is not even 1/10 of his collection. He has multiple German staff cars, motorcycles, over 50 pieces of Artillery, a submarine, and a BergPanther (and that's just the highlights). Just thought this pic would be cool to share!
