Apartment block mailboxes are popular targets for thieves as the postal items often contain bills which are a mine of information for identity theft fraudsters.

Also, the practice of Australian banks to issue through the mail, both requested and unsolicited credit cards, makes for a thief's bonus

The Wallace has an impressive collection of Majolica (or Maiolica) tin-glazed pottery produced in Italy during the Renaissance. As far as I know, it was an art form developed in the Urbino region and not much developed elsewhere, although in the UK the Victorians copied it. The subject matter was often classical or hunting scenes, but many plates and bowls are of a domestic nature.

This plate, made round 1510, features two girls embracing. Judging by their almost bald heads and chubbiness, they must be toddlers, but it’s a curious centrepiece for a plate that has wild animals, sea creatures, hunting horns and axes round the outside.

It stopped raining so I got a chance to run outside and take photos! Yes!

The scene of an act of sabotage during the Irish Civil War seems appropriate given world events this week! Long before the advent of drones dealing death from the sky, more mundane methods were used. Was the train destroyed in situ, or were they the victims of a mine set under the permanent way?

Dear friends,

the warmer days have begun and summer feelings are back : ). Time to show you my new fashion collection! I’m still in love with the Boho fashion trend and you’ll find lots of lovely designs, including two of my favourite pieces, two Kimono jackets!

As always, I try to make fashions that are highly compatible with fashions you already have, so you’ll find cute shorts and fantastic shirts, too. I’d love to hear which designs are your favorites ; )!

And for the first time, I’m offering Fashions for the Curvy Barbie body – modelled by my adorable Luna.

May all your summer days be sunny and your spirits stay wild and free…

My downsized collection at the end of 2012. Been selling a lot of stuff, trying to upgrade mostly.

Worst part is i am now left without a medium format camera. I hope to get a Mamiya 6 by the end of 2013.

Some of you guys have asked me about my collection/ what it looks like/ where I keep them.

I figured since I just re-arranged (due to 5 new additions) Id take a couple pics and show you.

Behind my EAH's are Voltageous, Meowlody+Purrsephone, Catrine, HH Bloodgood, and Catty all in their boxes.

My SDCC 2012 is hiding behind all my MH kids :)

Of course I have a few odds & ends and my small Anime/Manga collection.

I hope this year is filled with great and lucky doll finds for us all!

Cheers to 2014 Mates!

Most of my pinhole cameras. I have been leaving the take-up can taped to the camera, with a long leader sticking out the right side. Less taping when I'm ready for a new roll of film. more info about the Foosh.

I made the Altoids tin first - it was too fun to stop. The matchbox pinhole cameras are the easiest to make. I have four because I lent two to a local museum show, then made another to display "exploded" so people could see at a glance how they were made. Then I realized I wouldn't have any in the house for 2 months, so I had to make another one.

Here's a summary of info in the comments below:

My pinholes are around .2 mm, using this chart.

Scotch 235 tape is lightproof masking tape. Useful if you don't want any light leaks.

Some people do have success with electric tape - it doesn't work for me.

You can tear gaffer's tape (which I used in all the cameras above) into long strips - about 12 inches by 1 inch. Easier to wrap around between the canister and the matchbox.

This photo appears in the Camera Wiki entry for pinhole cameras - check out that page if you haven't seen it - lots of good info.

Here's the majority of them... there's a few more...

Somehow they need to fit on one shelf of my "Holiday" cabinet.

Sometimes one just needs to play and be a child. I have written and illustrated a book for Chloe and Ella called "where is baby Jesus". I don't know whether I told you the story last Xmas? Anyway to put things into context I decided to draw a map of Chloe and Ella's kingdom with all the landmarks which are important to them. Trust a child to put things into perspective when I showed it to Chloe and pointed to the swing I said 'what is that?' she said 'a handbag'. Out of the mouths of little children.

The Wallace Collection was established by the Marquesses of Hertford, with the third and fourth adding greatly to it. The third was a friend of the Prince Regent and the fourth spent mst of his life in Paris in a chateau in the Bois de Boulogne. He never married but it was believed that Richard Wallace, who became his assistant in his collecting, was his son. Certainly Wallace inherited Hertford House and gained a knighthood for his philanthropic work, including installing Wallace Fountains across Paris to provide clean drinking water (there is one in front of the house). He left the house to his widow and she in turn left it to the nation.

There is a quantity of fine French furniture, but this piece is rather earlier, though I don't know its date or origin. Like the next photo, it has a half-naked woman on the front - definitely a conversation piece in one's drawing room.

Whats in my Bag Closet, we were doing a little closet cleaning today- trying to find room for my new board and boots....I had to move my cameras from the closet into a Rubbermaid container and then into the shed out back. Don't worry its an accessible box in the shed! I didn't realize i had so much stuff.

*I may have another addiction........

A display of my gorgeous Christmas ornaments that I've been collecting over the years.

Some of my vintage embroidered pillowcase finds.

I'm going to see some nice shop people tomorrow. What do you think? Should they take me on?

First off, sorry for the slightly blurry photo, my camera wasn't agreeing with me. :/ So, I've been really lucky in 2013 being able to get all these lovely ladies, especially the frozen girls, which I wasn't able to get when they were first released since I wasn't in town or near any internet, so my friend [http://www.flickr.com/photos/98001722@N05/] was able to find them for me! I was also lucky enough to be able to get coronation Elsa and snow gear Anna last night, along with the DVD. I do plan on getting Tiana, Belle, and Snow White to complete the princess collection, then Alice and Sergeant Calhoun along the way. I might also get the Princes, but probably not the villains.
