Woohoo, it's almost Christmas! I love Christmas! This week we brought out the decorations, and I got busy re-doing our mantle with a fun assortment of winter and Christmas themed do-dads. Usually I just hang the stockings, but this year I was totally inspired to go above and beyond the ordinary! Fleur and Charlotte were THRILLED to be chosen to be part of the display!
I quickly realized that there was room in front of the fireplace to take a group dolly photo, so I grabbed a pair of short bookcases and started retrieving Blythes from all their scattered locations throughout the house. Some of them were already wearing their Christmas or winter outfits, but about half of them had to be re-dressed, so the picture set-up took a while. Finally they were all dressed, lined up, eyes straight ahead, and SNAP! This picture is as close to perfect as it's gonna get!
Throughout the journey of my life, I am a collector. Some might even
call me a hoarder. It’s all a matter of perspective.
I’ve collected many things. Some are still with me, some
are no longer, and there are still more that I continue to collect.
Books, for instance.
And friends.
Because along the way, I meet interesting people I like,
and then I collect companions and friends.
And I always find a good book that interests me and accompanies me.
To both, I enjoy returning: to a good friend and a good book.
And perhaps, after all – books and friends are one and the same?
Collection
Tout au long de mon parcours de vie, je suis un collectionneur. Certains pourraient même
me qualifier d’accumulateur.
Well this is most of it! Not included is my Pikachu 3ds, a reshiram figure, an espeon figure and an absol figure because they're elsewhere just now (aka at work.)
This was also a nightmare to clear away. NEVER LET ME DO THIS AGAIN!!

Collections 1 & 2 created with 20 Wombo renderings and blended with Pixelmator Pro. Originally planned to be one final image, I ended up cutting it in half as it was so long,
Prompts: Cute rusty metal and wood robots, dolls, books, lined up on splintered rough old dark wood shelf, dark rusty shadowed background, side lighting, ultra realistic details, 3D, 4K
Style: The City
Wombo gave me so many fun variations with which to work for these creations. It was hard to choose which ones to use, which is why the project ended up as 2 images.
Enjoy looking at the shelves of someone's past youth. Thank you for all your faves, comments and invitations!
Just random Porsche cars in the middle of little village. It was the last thing expected to spot.

An old thread on Eurobricks that I started six years ago, about my aircraft, was revived a couple of days ago and prompted me to take a look at what has changed. As I went over my aircraft and helicopter collection I realised that it has reached the pretty staggering number of 50. Last year around this time there were 45.
The WW-II aircraft are scaled for minifigs (either 1/43 or 1/40) and the Cold War/ modern military models are all scaled 1/36 with the exception of a few of the Helicopters which are scaled 1/22 -the same scale as most of my cars.
I have a few more helicopters, but I excluded them from this because they are not scale models of real ones. ( I also still have an HH-65 Dolphin, but it is stored in a box in a state of disrepair and may not survive much longer. )
i'm finally off on a Sunday & can contribute to the tumblr tag again finally! Just in time for my first #noshamesunday & everyone's posting collections, so might as well post an update. Literally out of space, 10 cases deep, a bunch not even opened/displayed yet. Time to expand yet again. @.@ Pardon the mess, still have to straighten some shelves up. enjoy my OCD/collection & happy no shame Sunday!
