Kkkkk

Nos comentários têm mais fotos ...

Just finished this quilt top today and thought it has lots of color and would be good for this week,"52.5 of 2010"; theme: color! The pattern name is "Happy Star". I belong to a group from our church and we make quilts, tie them and each tie represents a 'prayer'. Then the quilt is given to someone who is in need of prayer and comfort from friends.

there must be meds for this, it's getting rather out of hand.

The Retinette type 022 camera was made in Germany from 1954-1958 . These are 2 versions of the early model , fitted with an Angénieux lens and a French aperture/shutter system by Kodak-Pathé in France ; designated as type 022/7 . The camera with the lower serial number (on the left) has a black lacquered rim on the body as compared to the metallic one of the late version ; also the original French text on the rewind knob is replaced by straightforward film type names . The later version also has an added text on the Kodak badge ('made in Germany) , and a slot with a deeply situated lever (close to a white dot) on the black ring on the lens tube .

Lincoln-Zephyr V12 Coupé 1939

Chassis no. AA46-1181816300198

Châssis n° AA46-1181816300198

Style historiquement significatif

Chassis no. AA46-1181816300198

Historically significant design

Restored in the USA in the 1990s

Imported into Europe in 1998

Registered in Spain as an historic vehicle

The lower-priced companion to Ford's flagship Lincoln marque, Lincoln-Zephyr made its debut in November 1935 as a three-model range powered by a new V12 engine. As such, it was unique in its class, all the opposition having eight-cylinder engines. Together with Mercury, introduced in 1939, Lincoln-Zephyr bridged the gap between the affordable Ford V8 and the expensive Lincoln K Series. Conceived by Edsel Ford and overseen by styling maestro Eugene 'Bob' Gregorie, the Lincoln-Zephyr well deserved the description 'revolutionary', its advanced unitary body/chassis - designed by Tom Tjaarda and built by Briggs Manufacturing - being a first for the Ford Motor Company.

Its streamlined 'teardrop' styling too was at the cutting edge of contemporary automotive design, being extremely attractive with a low raked windshield, fully integrated wings, enclosed rear wheels, and a short bonnet fronted by an attractive grille. Whereas Chrysler's pioneering Airflow 'streamliner' had met with serious customer resistance, the Lincoln-Zephyr was an instant success, the almost 15,000 sold in the first year of production amounting to 80% of Lincoln's sales. Indeed, when New York's Museum of Modern Art drew up its list of the most significant automobile designs, the Lincoln-Zephyr was hailed as the 'First Successful Streamlined Car'.

The 4.4-litre sidevalve engine was developed from Ford's successful 90-degree V8, being basically as 75-degree version of the latter with four additional cylinders and aluminium heads. The 110 horsepower on tap was transmitted to the road via a three-speed manual transmission, making the Lincoln-Zephyr a genuine 90mph car.

The running gear incorporated Ford's tried and tested suspension system of live axles and transverse leaf springs. Inside, however, what greeted the Lincoln-Zephyr driver was not in the least conventional, as Gregorie's interior presented a breathtaking combination of aircraft-inspired details and Art Deco themes quite unlike anything seen hitherto.

Finished in green with beige interior, the car offered here is one of only 2,500 two-door, three-window coupés built in 1939, and has the hydraulic brakes newly introduced for that year. The car was imported from Toronto, Canada in 1998 by a dealer in high-quality motor cars, who had purchased it at auction on behalf of a private collector, resident in Valencia, Spain. The collector subsequently sold the car to a dealer in Mallorca, who kept it for only a few years. In 2008 the car was purchased through a dealer by the current vendor, a member of Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club.

This Lincoln-Zephyr was completely restored in the USA in the early 1990s, and it is worthwhile noting that it has been painted using the Duco automotive lacquer developed by DuPont during the 1920s. The car is described as in generally excellent condition, benefiting from recently overhauled brakes and a new fuel pump, while the carburetor has been upgraded and the car has passed the ITV (technical inspection), which is valid for five years. Currently registered in Spain as an historic vehicle, this beautiful two-door coupe represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic American cars of the 1930s.

The modernization of the lifestyle of city dwellers is accompanied by a significant increase in the volume of waste produced by families, just as it is becoming more challenging to dump it in empty spaces. The municipality has been setting up waste drop-off points for around twenty years, but they quickly become saturated. The voluntary sector has taken the initiative of setting up door-to-door collection systems, thus enabling people in highly vulnerable situations to have jobs, most of whom are women. Initially, the collection was done with donkey-driven carts but with the disadvantage of slow movement accentuated by the weight of the loads. Motorized tricycles imported from China have emerged as a solution and currently constitute the primary means of transport used with the advantage of their speed. Waste collection is also accompanied by establishing numerous recycling units that help recover waste (metal, plastic, plants, etc.).

A shop display inside Adelaide Arcade, September 5, 2013 Australia.

Adelaide Arcade is a shopping arcade in the centre of Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1885 with 50 stores, the arcade grew to over 100 shops through the addition of a balcony area in the 1960s. It was one of the first buildings in South Australia to have electric-powered lights.

The arcade is said to be haunted with at least three ghosts claimed to be on the premises. One of these ghosts, (believed to be Francis Cluney, an early caretaker of the arcade who died after falling into the electricity generator in 1887), was claimed to have been recorded on security footage in 2008.
