Ancohuma is a mountain in Bolivia. At 6,425 meters, it is the highest mountain i have climbed.

This image was taken at the eastern summit of Schöckl. The forground shows a fine structured snow field. Behind that a lonely tree and a bench, Southern styria in the distance.

You have to go up to 1500 meters to experience winter conditions. Thankfully it’s not too far from me!

A gentle sunlight is already shining on the top of The Hohen Göll!

Still the lake lies in the high summer paster. All grazing animals have been back in the valley for a long time. Only chamois pull over the steep mats through yellow - colored larch stands. You have to walk for two hours from the high valley in order to reach this idyll. Camera Details: X-E3, XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS, 44.4mm, f/4.5, 1/240s, ISO200

I was at the summit of the Grossglockner and in the late afternoon i came back and had a beautiful flat light. The scientists believe that in 30 years the Pasterze will have disappeared.

Winter has retreated to the mountains. I put on my skis to enjoy the fresh powder snow.

Beautiful scenery as seen along a river bank in Potosi, Wisconsin, about 30 minutes from where I live in Dubuque, Iowa. It was a nice drive for lunch and able to get a scenic photo shoot in at the same time. Photo Images credited to Vickie Lynne Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs(VLP & Designs). As a mountaineer and photographer, i say that adventure begins where you leave the beaten path.

A male Roe Deer, Roe buck (Capreolus capreolus), runs over a snowy meadow, away from the Lynx in the background.
