Got loads of pictures to upload and there is still one week of holiday left. It's just a great place for taking pictures!

A moose wanders though the first snow of the season in the Rockies. Moose are the largest of the deer family by some margin; they stand up to 2.1 m (6.9 ft) high at the shoulder and the males can weigh up to 700kg. I have also included a shot of its mother. Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

This was posted in color when I first shot this image, but I also did a post process conversion to black and white which I just found. You can never get this shot again. The statue of the fearless girl was moved.

Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent, encapsulating the South Pole. It is situated in the Antarctic region of the Southern Hemisphere, almost entirely south of the Antarctic Circle, and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14.0 million km2 (5.4 million sq mi), it is the fifth-largest continent in area after Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. For comparison, Antarctica is nearly twice the size of Australia. About 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice that averages at least 1 mile (1.6 km) in thickness.

Beautiful scenery as seen along a river bank in Potosi, Wisconsin, about 30 minutes from where I live in Dubuque, Iowa. It was a nice drive for lunch and able to get a scenic photo shoot in at the same time. Photo Images credited to Vickie Lynne Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs(VLP & Designs). I thought these berries looked so fancy and cute with their little bow ties. :)

Have a lovely Saturday friends..

Perfect day to wear my Carhartt hat. Don't like wearing hats, but on snowy days, I'll acquiesce.

Vertical image of clearing cloud from Cerro Poincenot, El Chalten, Argentina. After two days of rain and snow without any stunning view from Campamento Poincenot, the cloud was clearing and the sun was shining. Everything around me was full of fantasy.

Every day the old woman pulled a heavy cart behind her. She was very old, and she realized that the power of youth already had left her a long time ago. Every day the same game. She came to this pond and dispersed all the snow she had in the cart over all the area around this pond. This pond looked very beautiful and cold in this winter dress. On this day she did the same as every day! After work, she rowed with a boat to the the middle of the pond and admired her work.

And in the middle of this pond, however, the age-old woman heard the bright ringing of a small bell. She paused and listened … A sweet voice was singing a song in the distance. She was so impressed that she wanted to know, who was singing so lovely. So she went deep into the forest and saw there a beautiful woman who was covering in the snow her two young children with a blanket. She was a mother who sang a lullaby for her two young children who were frozen to death. As she sang, she bent down and gave her two pale children a kiss on the front.

When the old woman saw this, she was sad and began to cry and her tears flowed into the pond. Here … she no longer wanted to stay and went crying to the north. But her tears formed themselves into a river that flowed down right into this pond.

The Millennia passed and the pond grew up to a lake. And when it is so quiet at this lake, you can hear today a laugh of children in summer and in winter you hear a sad lullaby of a mother...

I want to thank all very much for your "views", "Comments" and "Favourites" :-) The only thing that matters is that you have joy in this photo. Again, thank you :-)

Mother nature creates awe-inspiring masterpieces and very often just around the corner if one has an eye for it. Beauty of nature - ice flowers on a car window.

Looks like Winter, right? But the fern frost was actually taken on 2nd of April, Denver, Colorado.

Much better in Large On Black to see the details.
