Just lit the gas fireplace for the first time (on my own - this was always Brett's job). Thank you Google.
I´m very cold...and when I´m cold I can only think of snow...
Don´t get me wrong, I love the snow and for some strange reason I´ve allways prefered the cold to the heat.
But today, i´m cold....
Full Cold Moon
This night
All light
Full still moon
Lamp lit
Silhouette
Full still moon
Many faces
Secret places
Full still moon
Supernal eye
In the sky
Full still moon
Big stone
Cold Alone
Full still moon
In reverie
A memory
Full still moon
Only one
You are gone
Only tonight
to dream upon
Full

The cold has finally hit us here in northern Minnesota!....-35 below as I type this....no wind!.....It's going to be a rough winter!.....I wouldn't mind even slapping a mosquito about now!.....
I met Angela through Model Mayhem and she was everything she claimed to be. Fun, adventurous, and comfortable in front of the camera. She said she was new to this but I doubt that - she was so easy to shoot with. As with all my first time shoots we picked an outdoor location and lucked out with good weather. I can't wait for the follow on shoots!
I took these photos in early November 2023.

I find this photo very cold,
because of the cold tones,
and the expression on esmee's face.
I also like the focus and the depth of field in this.
The Royal Air Force Mount Batten Memorial, at Mount Batten, Plymouth, is in the form of a replica propeller from a Sunderland Flying-boat.
It commemorates the fact that site was Royal Air Force Mount Batten until after the end of the Second World War. From the waters nearby the great Sunderland Fly-boats used to take-off to go on convoy protection duties searching for enemy submarines.
The motto "Praedam mari quaero" was that of number 204 squadron RAF, 'I seek my prey in the sea'.
With grateful thanks to Brian Moseley's ever-useful plymouthdata website.

It could be the lab rat in me... the clean sterile look to it all has its appeal.
I was just walking down Via Vittor Pisani towards Repubblica (and all the other interesting parts south of the station) and saw a home renonvation/designer show room. I took a couple images from the outside window for my own interests.
January 21, 2019. I burned my throat on hot soup last night and took a sick day today. It was the right call. Not only because of the accident on the highway that would have detoured me on the way to work, but because even a few short breaths of the -26 cold on a quick milk run were painful.
So sieht es heute bei uns aus - strahlend blauer Himmel, Sonnenschein - einfach schön.
Ich wünsche Euch ein schönes, entspanntes Wochenende!
Country life in my hometown. Today we have blue sky, sunshine (ok, it's cold but nice).
Have a nice, relaxed weekend!

Cold Comfort was a participatory work installed in the Old Melbourne Gaol in Sept-Oct, 2012.
The piece was 6 feet of knitted work, sewn to a metal bar at one end and attached to the knitting loom at the other. Placed beside it was instructions inviting people to knit a few rows themselves. The placement in the gaol was directly across from the gallows (where the rope still hangs from a cross beam) and Cold Comofrt directly mirrored this. The work was an attempt to inject some warmth and humanity into the cold, solid gaol. As the piece developed, it introduced growth and movement into a place devoid of life and hope. Cold Comfort references care packages sent to prisoners and refugees while the act of knitting itself creates a bridge between the participants and each other, between the participants and those who lived and worked in this place. Labour intensive repetitive tasks were often given to prisoners to break their spirit and wear them down, with Cold Comfort I instead wished to provide a calm, gentle task to allow for space for contemplation.
