Couple of more shots from the shoot I posted last week :)

Shot this on location, at the Reykjavik harbour in some really cold weather. Actually it was ok when we started and finished, but there between we got some sun, rain, snow and lots of wind. Typical Icelandic weather :)

A test of my cold cathode light stick that I recently made and what a test this was. Very pleased with this. The light blends together like an airbrush and changes the saturation of the colours. No photoshop.

Our warm and cold and warm and cold weather caught this bumble. He was so cold he couldn't move until I turned the infrared heater his way. After 20 minutes or so he started moving. After 40 minutes he flew away. I hope he got to a safe place before the cold immobilized him again.

Cold, wet with hail. Fortunately the pub is dry and warm and I only have to cross Leidseplein to get to Boom Chicago.

What a difference a week makes, and then that melted and more is there now.

Tracy Arm, Alaska

Named after Civil War General Benjamin Franklin Tracy, Tracy Arm is one of the most beautiful fjords in Southeastern Alaska. The fjord’s floating ice, breathtaking views, and resident wildlife including occasional bears, seals, and a variety of birds, make it one of the most talked-about scenic destinations for travelers to Alaska. Accessible only by plane, ship or boat, the fjord covers 653,179 acres and is located 72km south of Juneau, the capital of Alaska. The entrance to Tracy Arm is located five miles north of mile marker 900 in John Upton’s Alaska Cruise Handbook. The North Sawyer and South Sawyer Glaciers are located at the end of Tracy Arm; however the path to view these glaciers is blocked by impassable large floating pieces of ice. Nevertheless, the mountainous walls, resident wildlife, steep waterfalls and native vegetation make for spectacular photographs.

This is along the roadside between the town (population 10) that I grew up in and the town my mom lives in now, where, according to the Chamber information, "13,500 friendly people live". I've been traveling on this road my entire life - in all likelihood, came home from the hospital when I was born on this road! It seems so mundane but still, with my camera in hand, it looks so interesting . . . . and cold! We were lucky while we were there, no blizzards, no storms, not even much snow. Those tiny rolling hills definitely have a home feel to them but am still thrilled on a daily basis to have Mount Rainier in my backyard now.

had a sudden desire to knit something very cheesy and seasonal and winged this over the holidays. The addition of well-fitting arse shaping is the bit I'm most pleased with. This is not for a pattern - just a wee treat for me.

The whole house is down with a cold, so I couldn't think of anything else when I saw the challenge "Cold"!
