the other morning was overcast and chilly so with a black turtleneck dress i wore fleece lined hosiery and my gray knee high lace-up boots for work and while they have really long laces they’ve always been trustworthy despite the hooks being less than sturdy. maybe it’s because i wasn’t feeling well that maybe i didn’t tie them well enough but by lunch my left boot had come untied. i retied it and went to lunch. by that evening getting home my right lace had come untied. well since i was home i didn’t bother to retie my boot and the lace got underfoot catching the heel of my boot as i stepped through my door and i faceplanted.
Cold Lake
It's more or less freezing the last 2 weeks, so slowly the lakes freeze. Maybe the ice is about 1cm thick, so not a lot, yet. (It's above 0 Celsius during the days.)
The next few days some snow is forcasted, but I doubt it'll be so much it's photogenic.

The band Cold Cut Trio plays at the Larkin Beer Garden in Midland, MI.
Dow Diamond, home the Midwest League’s Great Lakes Loons, is largely unused with MiLB’s season cancelled. The beer garden moved a few blocks down and for this summer and is open Wednesday through Friday evenings.

Frost on dead grass. Isn't it amazing how it grows in column shapes. It's blurry as it was -10 degrees C when i took this, lol.

The view that day was amazing. The clear cold air was really transparent and the colors of the scene where very vivid from the soft evening sun.
After the six week shutdown for track replacement, S15 847 worked the 0930 train from Sheffield Park on a very cold Saturday morning. 847 climbs Freshfield Bank.
