Hi All! I'm Using Cold Tone Preset From The Lightroom After HDR 3 Exposures.Shot Taken With Sigma 10-20mm,And EOS D60.

Taking advantage of the early morning light I placed an inch long polished moonstone on a piece of white paper. Sunlight streaming though the stone produced a cold orange flame dispersion pattern in its own shadow. Turning the stone in different directions and planes produced some amazing patterns (to follow). Turning this mostly yellow-orange stone produces shades of green, blue, and yellow with areas of intense orange. It is in the feldspar class of minerals.

A cold front pushes clouds off to the west at sunset. When we see a sky like this one, we're heading for a cold night.

Considering this is one of most visited botanic gardens in the world, it is humbling to enjoy the quiet solitude, without even a foot print in the fresh snow. This photo shows the path around the east side of the Japanese Garden. There was an impressive buildup of snow drifts. I arrived at sunrise and spend over 2 hours taking pictures of the fresh snow. The light sparkling off the crystalline ice was gorgeous. I could have done without the screaming winds at 16F, though. Saturday can be defined as 'cold'. The entire time, I saw no other photographers, just a couple brave walkers. Chicago Botanic Garden 25, 2014 L1180616.dng

Only a few people who braved the cold in the evening so beautifully lighted square in the heart of Kraków, called the Main Square (Rynek Główny). The small church is called the Church of St. Adalbert, in Polish better known as the Kościół św. Wojciecha. Interesting fact: this church is almost a thousand years old and therefore one of the oldest stone churches in Poland.
