"I've found that this world is so cold.
But even then, I wouldn't dare test the fire."

I will be completely prejudice free. I promise.
Had to drop Sam off to get his truck, so I decided to take some back roads home. Didn't these 2 horses pose nicely?
It's like 19 degrees this morning, so getting out of the car didn't happen much...:) Well I bet everyone is getting ready for a Turkey Dinner...hope it's a nice one for us all !!! :) 😄
This is a Russian Navy Clock (or Ship's Watch) made for use aboard Soviet submarines during the height of the Cold War by the Chistopol Watch Factory (sometimes called the Vostok Factory).
This factory was founded in 1942 when a Moscow watch-making plant was evacuated from Moscow to a little town, Chistopol (Чи́стополь Now in the Republic of Tatarstan), located on The Kama River.
The company was appointed an official supplier of watches and clocks for the Defence Department of the Soviet Union in 1965. This clock was made in 1966 and has a 12 jewel 8-day movement.
Versions of this clock can often be found on eBay. The ones with Hammer and Sickle on a Soviet star and ones with pictures of submarines are of recent manufacture, and usually have plastic where the glass should be. Real Cold War era versions are more difficult to find and are often not in working condition.
For the life of me I can't understand why this picture is the second most viewed and second most favorited on my stream. Can someone explain?
Shot for Week #3 of my "52 of 2013" flickr group given the theme of "My Weather".
The weather here is defintely cold. This picture was taken at sunrise when the temp was 18 degrees Farenheit (about -8 Celcius) and the wind was blowing at 45 miles per hour.
That's ice you see in the foreground, bunched up on the beach of Lake St. Clair, a very large inland lake located between Lake Huron and Lake Erie (two of Michigan's great lakes).
Press "L" on your keyboard to see it on black. It's worth a look...
Now that I'm sitting here, thinking it through- I've never been anywhere cold as you.
Isabella came over for about ten minutes today while I worked on Sparks Fly. I'm hoping it will be done in about a week, but we'll see. Still got homework to do. :( Oh well.

Good one for you all..
Paseo por el centro de Rancagua , calle del Estado (Arteria urbana que cruza la ciudad) me topo con esta particular decoración de un restaurante con sus mesas en la calle, siendo bastante atractivo a la vista casual.
Sun rising over a cell tower in ice fog. Air temperature was -37C and the wind chill was -44C. And no, I did not take this from outside.
I always love it when snow hits our town. It snowed all of Sunday and I was unable to get out to take pictures so I made a quick stop off on the way to work this morning.

WEEK 3 – Oxford Walmart, Post-Remodel (II)
Where previously this department only received one sign – a catch-all simply titled “Beverages” – Black Décor 2.1's perimeter-hugging department signs allow for an additional department sign here now, this one placed on the left side of the alcove and titled “Cold Beer.” I wonder how many of my fellow Ole Miss students frequent this department :P
I did find it interesting here how the beer coolers themselves are inset into the wall, meaning they must be stocked from the same room as milk.

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

long tailed tit ~ aegithalos caudatus
The long tailed tits are on the RSPB Green status list.
This was during a pretty cold period mid January, the sunset was about to be done soon and picked up a bit of orange in addition to the yellow.
The initial spherical panorama consists of 11 images but in order to retain the highlights in the sky I did some exposure bracketing (-3EV and 0EV), resulting in a total of 22 photos. (28 actually, I did some duplicates with myself in it too.)
The standard equirectangular projection produced a resolution of 14944 x 7472px (~111,7MP). This is my first interactive spherical panorama on Flickr :)
