"Gull Flying Over Muskrat House" by Patti Deters. A Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis) takes flight off the top of a muskrat house where she was perched, perhaps looking for fish in the cold waters of Boy River in Northern Minnesota. The season is autumn as you can tell from the golden colors of the shoreline grasses and reeds. A heavy texture has been applied to the photograph for artistic effect. March 2, 2025. Larose forest in the March afternoon sun on a chilly cold day. Hopefully the last cold cold day of the year. I'm beginning the feel the possibilities of cycling.
Sun rising over a cell tower in ice fog. Air temperature was -37C and the wind chill was -44C. And no, I did not take this from outside.

On the Ice at Sheridan Glacier, near Cordova, Alaska.
This photo was made with a 60 second exposure at f6.3, iso 800 Using a Canon Rebel T5 and Dorcy L.E.D Glow sticks for the silhouette streaks with the "Whiteout" background made using Dorcy Metal Gear XLM 600 Lumen Flashlight.

In the mountains, there's this little cave. In the cave, you can find a croud of ice stalagmites. Their size depends on humidity and period of temperature bellow zero degrees Celsius.
