On Halloween I had problem with my shoes and had to take them to the shoe repair shop and walk home barefoot. It was rather cold. I still have a tiny sandal tan which makes my feet look weird.
My Oma loves this dirndl. Her whole face lit up when she saw it. "You look very German!" she said.

Often times I liked to try and capture a scene that was more about the whole environment than just the train itself This wintry afternoon was every bit as cold and damp as it looks , and the weak sunset light was barely adequate to the task..
The ex EL GE's joined their PC and Reading cousins in the Selkirk pool and former EL units began leading trains as soon as their radios were retrofitted with former PC/PRR road channels one and two (160.800 161.070).
Forced into CR at the last minute , it seemed to those of us on the "outside" that the new carrier deliberately wasted very little time in trying to erase the EL logo and corporate identity..

Very cold and frosty on the coast at Cresswell this morning. Not often you see snow on the beach, even if it is just a dusting. Not a hugely colourful sunset, but the subtle lighting suited the scene I wanted.

Walking around Blue Hill at Stone Barns (an amazing sustainable farm just up the road from me and home to one of the best restaurants in America) during the first snow of '08.
All the lovely ladies that were out sure looked like they could use some warm milk.
Though this shot is taken in may this year,
this is what the mornings look like once again over here.
These fellas won't be frosty much longer, since it's the first morning sunlight I caught them sunbathing in. Hard to tell but you can actually see some shadows here and there.
