Now, it's quite cold in Europe and Germany! In Oberstdorf (Allgäu, Bavarian Alps) we had minus 32°C (-25.6°F) last night!! Here on lake Kirchsee we had minus 12°C (10°F) in the afternoon!

Ganz Europa stöhnt wegen der Extremkälte! Minus 32°C in Oberstdorf.
Returning to this captivating spot along the Asturian coast was a long-awaited endeavor. The timing was almost right, with the tides aligning for a chance to get up close and personal with the colossal rock formation and its impressive twin holes during the sunset.
Though the receding tide didn't grant me full access to the desired vantage point, and the tranquil sea posed a challenge in capturing my preferred water textures, the allure of the location remained undeniable. I managed to freeze a moment in time as a wave nearly engulfed the prominent foreground rocks, showcasing the raw power of the ocean.
The light conditions may not have been ideal, and the sky wore a muted hue, but patience was my ally. As the day transitioned into the mystical blue hour, a cold and serene atmosphere descended upon the scene, adding a touch of ethereal charm to the already mesmerizing landscape.
While challenges may have tempered my vision, the essence of this coastal wonder remains untamed and resplendent. Every visit brings something new and a reminder of nature's awe-inspiring forces.
I just bench this blue beauty. I will post better photos letter. I am still benching.

Every sign seems to have just a slightly different take on what information is important.
This one reads (with some periods added to help read):

From summer, through autumn and into winter in less than three days.
A chilly feel for the NMT as it passes on the down main through Rhyl station on 1Q30, a run that takes it from Derby, through Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Chester, Holyhead, Crewe and Liverpool twice to Crewe.
Powercars 43014 and 43062 make it look even colder than it is...

These were built during our first spring in Montana, 1997. They've been out of use for nearly 10 years now and they're a little worse for wear and all the glass panes have broken out of them in wind storms. Plastic works just fine, too but just doesn't look as nice.

Lego 76063 DC Comics Superheroes Mighty Micros, The Flash vs Captain Cold. This is a fun little set, They each get a mini car and accessories. The minifigures are cartoonish and have the short legs
These were made from homemade Cold Porcelain clay. To color, I used heavy silver eye make up, purple hair dye, and black stamping ink and sealed it all with a glaze.
The textured ones were created by from pressing the clay into irregular surfaces, painting over with black and then lightly brushing on the silver powder.
Monte Specie

In the cold and windy afternoon near the top of Mt. Specie, a nice magenta light illuminated the little Cadini di Misurina. So many clouds over Mt. Cristallo, on the right.
Nel freddo e ventoso pomeriggio nei pressi della cima del Mt. Specie, una bella luce magenta illuminava i Cadini di Misurina. Molte nuvole, invece, sopra il Cristallo, sulla destra nell'immagine.

Why don't ducks get frozen feet?
Well, apparently…ducks, as well as many other birds, have a counter-current heat exchange system between the arteries and veins in their legs. Warm arterial blood flowing to the feet passes close to cold venous blood returning from the feet. The arterial blood warms up the venous blood, dropping in temperature as it does so.
This means that the blood that flows through the feet is relatively cool. This keeps the feet supplied with just enough blood to provide tissues with food and oxygen, and just warm enough to avoid frostbite. But by limiting the temperature difference between the feet and the ice, heat loss is greatly reduced.
So there!
In the midst of blizzard-like conditions, the ducks of Brookside Gardens seemed to be unbothered by such matters. So perhaps the title really should be: Content Ducks Cold Photographer.
