My first successful Milky Way shoot (so please forgive the horrible framing/composition, I really wasn't thinking straight)! I've honestly dreamed about this moment so many times - I couldn't wipe the grin off my face when I saw it on my preview screen. I think my neighbour was a bit sus.
Thanks for the name suggestion Hansel, I love it. Truth be told it really was cold out.
No snow and no ice on the garden pond. Temparatures are above zero but still quite chilly for me outside in my flimsy minidress.
the days soon will start getting longer, and then: Spring! (from the Department of Wishful Thinking)

March 2, 2025. Larose forest in the March afternoon sun on a chilly cold day. Hopefully the last cold cold day of the year. I'm beginning the feel the possibilities of cycling.
I returned to the Île-d'Orléans near Quebec City with Jérémie and Françis in the beginning of January on a wave of cold. Looking at the photo on a large screen, you will notice the line of mist in the back of the river. This is a phenomenon visible only when it is blazing cold. In this photo, I especially like the color of the sun, aquarelle effect of clouds and the crisp details of broken ice on the shore.
