Had to drop Sam off to get his truck, so I decided to take some back roads home. Didn't these 2 horses pose nicely?
It's like 19 degrees this morning, so getting out of the car didn't happen much...:) Well I bet everyone is getting ready for a Turkey Dinner...hope it's a nice one for us all !!! :) 😄
Like angels with wild beast's eyes
I shall return to your bedroom
And silently glide toward you
With the shadows of the night;
And, dark beauty, I shall give you
Kisses cold as the moon
And the caresses of a snake
That crawls around a grave.
When the livid morning comes,
You'll find my place empty,
And it will be cold there till night.
I wish to hold sway over
Your life and youth by fear,
As others do by tenderness.

Cold One

The bug caught me, brought a cold, and here I am with my apology for not having commented on your images. I will, soon! I was only able to walk the dog and take some therapeutical shots. Here you see reflections of the low sun on a wire-mesh fence.
Lots of steam created by the heated Type 1 deicing fluid being sprayed on our next door neighbour on a chilly -28C morining in Calgary CYYC.
WSOR SD40-2 4025 has a JC on the north side of Janesville on a frosty and foggy day at the end of 2007.
Now that I'm sitting here, thinking it through- I've never been anywhere cold as you.
Isabella came over for about ten minutes today while I worked on Sparks Fly. I'm hoping it will be done in about a week, but we'll see. Still got homework to do. :( Oh well.
This is what happens along the waterfront when we have weeks of ice cold wind and storms. Really interesting to look at, if you dress properly ツ
I have more pictures of the Norwegian winter here:
Can't wait till this,
Cold Goes Away,
Spring needs to come ASAP,
Skin Gettin Dry,
Lookin' like Ashy Larry.
... when sunny was the weather. :-)
Black & white conversion done with Nik Silver Efex Pro 2, plus a slight increase in contrast. Photo taken near to where we're living in Nottingham.

Olympus OM10 and expired crossprocessed Kodak Elitechrome 100 film, cropped in Picasa.
Sun rising over a cell tower in ice fog. Air temperature was -37C and the wind chill was -44C. And no, I did not take this from outside.
Chicago in January. Too cold for the beach, and the pools are closed too. What's a person to do when they are feeling the urge to do a good old-fashioned Instagram favorite, the "Look at My Feet" shot? Why, look for roadkill, of course.
This is probably the second biggest rat I've ever seen. Luckily the biggest one was dead too. I'd put that body at a solid 10-12 inches.
I always love it when snow hits our town. It snowed all of Sunday and I was unable to get out to take pictures so I made a quick stop off on the way to work this morning.
A cold panoramic of Eastbourne Seafront - UK
i took this shot near the shore. scared to go deeper because the water is too cold. i always have an eerie feeling when i am in cold water.
Shot with Canon EOS 400D + Canon 18-55mm
This scenery was awesome.
Yesterday night I made my way back home cycling when I recognized a fog bank lying on the field about a half kilometre away. I pulled around my handlebar and drove offroad across the field to get there.
Unfortunately the whole lighting situation was very bad. I had no tripod with me(not as usual) and so I had to put the ISO speed up to 400 and see what I am able to capture.
The only way to get some sharp and at the same time good exposed images was to shoot against the sunset sky. This reduced my creative options but the results were awesome!!! Of course many of them were blurred but this one was just perfekt.
The blue color was already in the original and I loved it. It looks like an ice desert to me. I am very proud.
This is also a try with a new technique for me because as you can see I overexposed this image to achieve this bright sky effect. I did not use this stylistic device often before so this is another reason for me to be proud of this image.
I will not publish a Before/After because the general feel of this image is original. I only changed little things so it is not worth space on my blog.
The large view is a must to discover all the little details.

The cold waters of the Yukon River flow through the centre of Whitehorse on a winter morning in December. The sun had not yet risen and blue hour was in full swing when I took this.
Not the cleanest picture (high ISO noise is quite evident) but the blue hue on Arthur's coat, and the pinkish sky were very representative of how a cold morning in early Jan really feels like
