I haven't added the straw yet to these shelters but Mugsy seems to approve.

So had a night in front of an open fire with friends and then headed over to the Z. The fire pit made for some cool pictures. I was pretty happy with how they came out.

A cold front moved in late yesterday afternoon, bringing with it some heavy rain and storms. Luckily the weather held out for the fall festival. As I was driving home I knew that I had to pull over somewhere to take a couple shots of this. Nothing fancy, just some of nature's beauty.

Not many cyclists out today. Record low temperatures for this day -24ºc and if you figure in the wind chill feels like a balmy -40ºc.

I think one or more was present last year at this site as well. Seems to be a regular.

Our 4 bird feeders were busy non-stop today. Constant bird activity.

When the *high* is below zero, and the windchills are in the -30's, you're goddamn right we make homemade nachos and chili for dinner.
