Chris Davis and Jerry Makare at a cemetery in the snow.

Our neighbour very kindly plowed out our sidewalk today (both sides). Thank goodness he did - the blowing snow seems to fly right over it. In spots, the snow on the left hand side goes up to about the middle of my thigh. I'm almost 5'6 so that's mostly drifting.

After the cloud was past us it dropped what appeared to be funnel clouds. Since we couldn't see over the small ridge to the east of us we couldn't confirm if they touched the ground to become tornados. My brother and I felt that they were cold weather funnel clouds so even if they had touched down they wouldn't have been very strong.

Haven't knitted for years. Just rediscovered how therapeutic it can be.

We hiked from the Arthur River, north along the wild coastline, to Church Rock. The day started out cloudy with a slight breeze and a little sunshine. It was time to head back when the weather came in.

I am not sure why anyone lives in the cold weather, other than than the fact that it forces you to dress your kids up all cute. Baby A cannot figure out the mittens yet, but she's gotten used to the hats. It doesn't look like we will have snow this year for Thanksgiving, and I can't be more happy about that...

Shiro got a blanket, hat, bolero, top, and two layered bustle backed skirt! OMG so awesome! (btw hand sewn items were allowed as extra if you wanted it to sort of go with something)

Shiro's very pretty lap blanket.

Make sure to dress warmly in higher latitudes
