Another sunny day but too windy and cold for Cleo's taste. I managed to lure her out onto the porch for a moment by dangling the treats bag in front of her nose. Of course she received a few treats as she cooperated (there are days when no treat in the world would convince her to go outside) and I even got a nice Tongue Tuesday photo. HTT ! :)

When the waves aren't cooperating, they just sit around and chat with friends.

After work on Monday I got out for a bit and headed to Hager Park. The sun and clouds were really not cooperating as it seemed dark and dreary.

American Badger

Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, OR

An interesting bit of info I read about badgers is that they will frequently cooperate or work in tandem with coyotes when hunting for prey (Wikipedia and animalia.bio). Per the articles, a coyote will chase rodents into a burrow where a badger is hunting, while the badger will flush rodents out of burrows to where a coyote is hunting. This cooperation benefits the coyote with an increased catch rate of about 33%. However, it is unknown how well it benefits the badger as the catch rate for them isn’t well documented due to their underground hunting. I found this cooperation interesting since badgers are occasionally preyed upon by coyotes.

Sometimes the early start on the farm comes with its rewards when nature cooperates with a beautiful sunrise over the distant Boulder Reservoir.

Another not so common variety of the very common Finches known for its striking beautiful colors. Chased it for a while to get a clear shot, but it just didn't cooperate. This shot was one of the last shots of the day after we gave up and started to leave.

Though Stelios cooperated marvellously for his boudoir shoot I wasn't happy with the results. I do like this film noir version though.

“Remember that you always have to cooperate with someone. Life is an endless negotiation. Play fair. Stay out of jail. Don't live in the past. Eat breakfast. It really is the most important meal of the day. Try to make new friends, even when you think you're too old to do that.If you haven't said 'I love you' to someone today, do it. ..”

Ahhhh... breakfast!! ♥

Massimo is always a generous person and a very special friend, he has given me carte blanche re collaborating which is very generous and also great fun! I have not done anything recently but saw these beautiful works of his and knowing how we both love colour I decided to do a collaborative work using both of them. Thank you, once again, dearest Massimo!

Well...., my computer STILL at his doctor.... Therefore I cooperate with my mobile’s photos only and not my NIKON’s.... But I must say , that I am not deceived... Via Google I have them in my iPad right now, and share them with you....

You cannot imagine HOW I had missed the sea, this year!! Its smells, sounds, colors, and views...So, I travelled for a very short while to the majestic sandy beach of the Belgian city of Ostende , with a friend of mine...And I share with you today some captures taken with my mobile camera, wanting to convey to you my enchantment of just BEING by the sea, that I love so much!!❤️❤️❤️

CN's L544 blasts south through Marissa, IL with 30 loads of limestone from Kaskaskia Regional Port District Dock #1, addressed to Prairie State Energy Campus a few miles south - a transfer that happens every weekday. In return, the Dock gets fly ash loads. The crew would also retrieve 30 additional loads of fly ash for later pickup by L548, bound for industries across the U.S.

Thanks to WR for the photo concept, and the weather for cooperating; I got CF-ed last time I tried this; and the friendliest crew on CN. Always a smile and wave every time I saw them...must be ex-IC guys.

I love shooting this area of Lake Shuswap in BC. The colors in the evening hours range from orange to pink and many more as well. We have had a good deal of rain so when the clouds cooperate in the late afternoon, magic is the result.

Was nice to see the Long-tailed Ducks, even though they didn't cooperate by coming too close to shore, even with the high tide.

Well...the weather is not cooperating with our brief vacation...

Our final morning in the Badlands turned out to be the best to photograph. The clouds were cooperating, most of the fog had burned off and the temperature was nice.

This is really a bizarre place to hike. Walking down in ravines and valleys. It kind of felt like we were on another planet. It was so quiet and peaceful with no one in sight. Luckily the official trails were marked with red sticks every few hundred feet. You can loose your bearings very quickly as everything looks the same.

Per Wiki... Badlands are a type of dry terrain where softer sedimentary rocks and clay-rich soils have been extensively eroded by wind and water. They are characterized by steep slopes, minimal vegetation, lack of a substantial regolith, and high drainage density. They can resemble malpaís, a terrain of volcanic rock. Canyons, ravines, gullies, buttes, mesas, hoodoos and other such geologic forms are common in badlands. They are often difficult to navigate by foot. Badlands often have a spectacular color display that alternates from dark black/blue coal stria to bright clays to red scoria.

Earlier, in mid-June, a great nature walk in the Corrales village Rio Grande Bosque, just a 15-minute drive from home; how lucky we are.

I enjoy seeing wrens and this one was cooperating and modeling… she is a “bird on a stump (BOSt)” as opposed to a “bird on a stick (BOS)!”

Lots of Red-headed Woodpeckers searching and storing food for the long winter. Apparently it was a good year for acorns. Normally they are high in the trees. This one cooperated nicely.

Are you experiencing the same? Just when I started going back to my usual routine on weekends, weather is again not cooperating! On this hazy Pittsburg morning I had one of those moments when nothing was looking promising but I still got out and just when I wanted to fold, this happens. Lesson learned. What do you think?

Neither of them were cooperating with having their photo taken.

These two males were the only Orcas we saw yesterday. They were hunting and hanging out together.

It was a fabulous day on the water. Weather cooperated and didn't rain, nor was it too sunny. I made a last minute decision to go whale watching out of Port Angeles and so glad I did. It's very hard to capture sharp photos while the boat is rocking in the wake but our captain did his best to keep us on track. Hope you enjoy this series.

I was lucky to see wonderful sunset this Sunday over our city and make a few shots. This panoramic view is one of them. The weather didn't cooperate at all. It was cold and windy; many shots went to garbage right away from camera shake, even mounted on the tripod.

Once in a while Mother Nature cooperates.

More synergy.

A synergy is where different entities cooperate advantageously for a final outcome.

These were definitely a MATCH!

Two early Spring flowers.

How can I resist them?

Have a great day and thank you, M, (*_*)

With the last rays of sun pouring over the valley below, the evening exploded with golden color as storm clouds raced across the sky.

A small downpour of rain out in the west almost blocked out the sun, while lightning streaked across the east.

About ten minutes past this photo being taken, the sky opened up and just poured down rain drenching everything. Sometimes nature cooperates and you just get lucky.

Badlands National Park, SD

Vermilion Lakes at Banff National Park is one of my favorite places for sunrise or sunset shooting - especially if the clouds cooperate and the water is dead calm to capture the reflection of Mt. Rundle. The water wasn't perfectly calm here, but other than that the conditions were almost perfect.

After 25 shots, it became clear Camille wasn't going to stop and give me a dignified pose. I think she was messing with me.

I must confess - it took more than one try to capture this. The wind at 20+ mph cooperated. but I still needed to shoot at 10 images per second.

For those who can't read my exif: f 9.0, 1/250/second and ISO 1250. Used my Zoom lens 600mm.

Sometimes Little bear does not want to cooperate with my photo session ! hum !!! HTBT !

Petit Ours ne voulait pas se faire photographier ce jour-la !

Just a fun little shot I made up to taste out a pose set. I think it came out decently, considering my settings were refusing to cooperate with me!

After completing an eye exam in Eureka, MO for my work, I decided to set up for something, anything, on BNSF with the former Frisco searchlight signals for props. After about 45 minutes of waiting, BNSF finally cooperated with this westbound, non-GEVO-led local.

Not sure what's going on with those hanging station signs, but at least they're not vandalized like the east-facing pair.

The U-Tower building was erected in 1926/27. The U-Tower was for 67 years a production facility for beer of Germany's largest brewery for decades. Now, the Dortmunder U shows artworks from 20th and 21st centuries, develops innovative concepts of cultural education in the digital age, initiates partnerships between art and science, and cooperates with different players in the context of creative industries.

My posting will be a bit sporadic due to the COVID-19 situation and my RL work hours is currently unpredictable.

Have a great weekend, my friends.

This is another project cooperated with my local friend, the original photos come from my friend, and I did a series of images retouching & treatment. And hope you enjoy the different beauty of them.

Taken at a park near my home in Overland Park, Kansas. I was lucky to have this guy cooperate for me long enough to take a handheld focus stack in windy Kansas conditions.

RKO_4445. Image taken near the "Munt" (mint) tower in Amsterdam city center. The Munt tower (locally known as De Munt) is just outside this image on the right hand side. Bikes are the best (and the cheapest) means of transport to explore this beautiful old city. Amsterdam is the capital city of The Netherlands and has so much to offer. Unfortunately the weather did not really cooperate while making this image.

Wikipedia:

The Muntplein (literally "mint square") is a square in the centre of Amsterdam. The square is in fact a bridge — the widest bridge in Amsterdam — which crosses the Singel canal at the point where it flows into the Amstel river. All bridges in Amsterdam are numbered, and the Muntplein carries the number 1.

Muntplein is named after the Munttoren (or simply Munt) tower which stands on this square. This tower was once part of one of the three main medieval city gates. In the 17th century, it temporarily served as a mint, hence the name. The guard house building attached to the tower is not the original medieval structure but a late 19th-century fantasy. An underpass was added to the building during a 1938–1939 renovation.

The name "Muntplein" dates from 1917. The square was originally known as Schapenplein ("sheep square") and, from 1877 to 1917, as Sophiaplein (after Queen Sophia, first wife of William III).

The square is a bustling intersection of six streets. It forms the southern end of the Kalverstraat shopping street and the major street Rokin. The eastern end of the floating flower market (Bloemenmarkt) along the Singel canal is directly south of the square. Six tram lines (4, 9, 14, 16, 24 and 25) stop at Muntplein, but only when travelling south.

The building on Muntplein at the intersection of the Kalverstraat and Rokin is an early design by prominent Dutch architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage.

Thanks for visiting, commenting and faving my photos. Its very much appreciated!

It certainly would not have been a visit to the Iron Range without the classic photo of a southbound train at Munger. Thankfully, everything cooperated nicely allowing me to grab this gorgeous photo of southbound empties with an excellent leader to check this one off the list.

... of spring/summer!

Sadly, my camera collected a lot of dust last year, and the few images I took are still mostly unprocessed. I took this photo in July, and it wasn't what I was intending, as typically the very interesting bee that I was trying to photograph flew out of the harebell and off into the distance. I liked the dreamy feel of the image though and, for me, it sums up happy days trying to photograph bugs that usually don't cooperate.

Yet, when I arrived on location my hopes of cooperating weather seemed to meet and exceed my expectations. The storm that was rolling through the area at sunset time was just clearing the western sky and moving overhead and over the city. While absolutely perfect that put a bit of a ... #etbtsy

may 9, yesterday morning. according to the forecast i set my alarm to find some morning sky color, but the clouds did not exactly cooperate, so i went looking for some water movement to play with instead, finished soaked to the thighs. have a nice day everyone.

Such an amazing view even though every single time I am here, it is pouring rain. One day I am going to catch the peak wildflower season on a beautiful sunny day. I love this place and I'll keep going until I get it right. Mother Nature will surely cooperate someday, right?!?!

American Basin - Colorado

The idea was to show the Waikato shrouded in a fog blanket etc etc. Well, the fog didn't cooperate all that well and I think I wasn't high up enough. Anyway, altough I didn't get what I was after, I thought I came away with a reasonable kind of view. Hence I thought I share this with you. Waikato river in the foreground with Taupiri township just above. The mountain on the left is Taupiri Maunga with Taupiri Urupa at the base.

I saw this butterfly at the conservatory at Brookside Gardens and it did not cooperate by visiting some flowers. Instead it just wanted to sit on the leaves by the wall. Well, I shot it but the photo languished until I took a look at it in Lightroom years later. I am now just amazed by how beautiful this thing is. I can see the name Emerald is quite justified by those amazing green scales on this beauty which shine like tiny emeralds!
