Clock on a beach breaking out of a stone shell. The image was originally run up from a watch and a beach with a few descriptive words and then enlarged through a Topaz program and then reintroduced to Google Deep Dream.
I did this for Crazy Tuesday's theme, song title or lyric. BUT I missed the cut off time. Oh well, I still like it. My song was Time by Pink Floyd and then I thought it could also be Clocks by Coldplay. I liked the shot so I still decided to use it for my 365.
Day 124/365 - Monday, 4 May 2026.
Very quick grab shot at Flinders Street Station of the famous clocks in between trains on the way home.
I have taken this shot so many times in the past with mixed results, quite often dependent on the weather outside. If it is really sunny the contrasts of light and dark can be extreme leaving it really dark inside and too bright outside. In the past there was a long florists bench on the right adding another element to the shot, sadly this seems to not be there anymore.
Victoria Tower built 1847-48 to commemorate the opening of the adjacent Salisbury Dock Liverpool. Known also as the 'Dockers Clock' and is to be restored as part of a docks re-development scheme. Just behind the Tower is the site of Everton FCs new stadium at the former Bramley Moore Dock, at left in the far distance is the Seaforth Container Port.
The Prague Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock located in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The Orloj is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square and is a popular tourist attraction.
The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

Stourbridge Town Clock
'It's probably the best-known landmark in the town and was even made here! Built in 1857, the grade two listed town clock had a full restoration in 2007. The column was built at the Stourbridge Ironworks and was designed by engineer William Milward. For many years the clock was painted green but for the renovation, the decision was made to change the colour to dark blue and gold, the colours of the Stourbridge coat of arms.' www.stourbridge.com/stourbridge_town_clock.htm
The town clock, Machynlleth was "erected by the inhabitants of the town and district of Machynlleth to commemorate the coming of age on the l5th July l873 of Viscount Castelreagh of Plas Machynlleth, Son of the 5th Marquess of Londonderry".
According to Silky Smoove, this is the second largest clock in the world. I went to Wikipedia to verify, and the article said, "In the late 1960s, SILKY SMOOVE ROCKS!!"
This attractive clock stands in the downtown area of Dillwyn, Virginia. I haven't located any historical information about it, but it is located a short distance from the train station, which is partially visible behind the tree in the background.
