this one has to be my favorite clock radio. a circa 1957 motorola in RARE lavender. still has the original "volumeatic" tag.
i've been staying up too late for my own good. xD that's why this is pratically a midnight posting.
this weekend i went out of town to visit my grandparents. (exchange christmas presents and all, i got a lomo fisheye.) anyway. i will slowly be posting a few pictures i took while i was there. starting with this one.
this is an alarm clock that was in the room we (my sisters and i) were sleeping in. i added the black and white and made it dark. :D enjoy.

My wife's grandfather was given this clock as a leaving present, after working for 45 years for British Rail.
Today the Hereios of the We're Here! group are getting into black and white details.
This small station operates as a turnout for the trains of the Pre-Alps Express. The beautiful clock that I saw a couple of times from the train was the reason to take a closer look at this station on occasion. Thereby I discovered the amazing ticket system Handomat. Only the trains of the Southeastern-Railways (SOB) stops here on request. Altmatt SZ, Switzerland, July 26, 2010.
Clock and jeweler historian Paul Middents gave a half-hour talk discussing the history of street clocks in Seattle and Bremerton, and focusing on the life and career of Joseph Mayer. Mayer manufactured perhaps 100 street clocks in addition to manufacturing spoons, urns, trophies, medals, streetcar tokens and other items.
The audience at the Kitsap County Historical Society was comprised of street clock fans and experts from around the country.

400 day clock, German-made Kundo. This torsion clock has a mechanical movement which is made in the 70’s. An usual rotating 4-ball pendulum is used to govern the time. It has a lovely black and gold flora finishing throughout. About 12” tall under plastic dome cover.

It was a non-working clock which I wanted to hang up for display. After a while, I felt something amiss. A clock is not a clock if it does'nt work! So I took it apart and do some fixing, to my surprise I managed to get it ticking again ! I was totally fascinated From there I got my second, third and so on....
My favourite has to be the 400 day clock

Anagalis arvensis known as shepherd's clock,shepherd’s sundial and shepherd’s weather-glass suggest, scarlet pimpernel is well-known for its ability to indicate both the weather and the time of day. The small, bright scarlet flowers open at around 8 am each day, and close at 3 pm. They also close during humid or damp weather .
Ornate antique clock in the Embassy of Poland (1910, George Oakley Totten Jr.), at 2640 16th Street NW, in Washington, DC. According to photos I've seen, this clock has been in the embassy for decades.
this large clock with it's numbers scattered around its face is in one of the side entrances to the L'Illa building in Barcelona. It was designed by Javier Mariscal in 1994 for the Swiss company Winterthur.
I particularly like the way the number 6 blocks the entrance stairway!

Hoher Markt, Vienna. Designed by Franz Matsch for Anker Insurance Co and built 1911-17 and originally intended to commemorate an Austrian Victory in the Great War. Rulers of Austria move through the windows either side as time passes.
I think it dates from the 1920's. Or maybe it is even older.
