This is advertisement was produced for London Underground by an unknown artist.
It reminded those living in central London, which suffered regularly from bad smogs (fog/haze intensified by smoke and other atmospheric pollutants), that the idyllic English countryside was but a simple Tube ride away.
Smogs in London were killers. The Great Smog of 1952 is now estimated to have caused 12,000 deaths although the government of the day made significant efforts to under-report both deaths and the overall impact of four days of heavy smog, which had been partly caused by that same government allowing the sale of cheap, but heavily-sulphurous, sub-standard coal that winter. However, that smog did eventually lead to the Clean Air Act of 1956...
Sadly, the-then suburb of Golders Green has been swallowed by the city and you need to travel much farther afield today to reach the sunny idylls suggested by the poster - although you can still do so by Tube!
The poster can be seen today in London Transport's Museum in Covent Garden, London.

Last weekend i was triping around chilean central coast (i´ve got a lot of parents between San Antonio and El Tabo), and a particular scenario that talks about how a town near Santiago is completely different large cities consists in a lonely candy coated cotton seller waiting for customers in Chépica Beach, placed in the town of El Tabo, near the seaport of San Antonio, in central coast of Chile.

Aprovechando que la semana pasada estaba de visita en la costa (en la casa de mi abuelo en El Tabo) pude tomar este particular escenario ocurrido en la playa "Los Siete Reales" de la localidad de El Tabo.
Un particular escenario que también hace contraste tanto con el mar como con la vertiginosa actividad que a poco más de 130 kilómetros ocurre en el denominado Gran Santiago.

Headed out yesterday on a wonderful adventure with Ken and Kelsie to of all places......the Olympics. We encountered some splendid scenery along our nearly 13 mile roundtrip. This forest was so alive with activity. The Soleduck area is a very refreshing place to roam about.
I will be back......

BTW, I went by the next day and all the hay had been taken up. It's not nearly as pretty as just a mowed field.
