Watch us work our way into a house crammed so full you cant get the door open. Our guys had to clear a path into the door so the workers could get in to clean out the chest high garbage. It was nearly even with the top of the refrigerator.

It took us about an hour to even get buckets into the place and really get to work. The floor was layered with many years of newspapers, magazines, clothes, food, and garbage bags. It was so packed that we had to pry the stuff out in layers.

There were many mouse and cockroach nests in there.

This video is part one, the kitchen cleanout. We felt that there was just too much good video footage to make it any shorter.

If you know someone who needs help cleaning out their home, call us. We care about the people. It is not just about garbage, it is about helping people.

Amongst all that soot and smoke I hoped that the grain wouldnt detract too much!

No matter how many closet cleanouts I do, I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of these things.

J&M CLEANOUTS - OLD STOVE

At first we though the water was coming out of the cleanout. Then we realized it was coming out of the wall. When our plumber opened the wall, we found that the plumbers who had done the waste line work had failed to hook the kitchen drain lateral back up to the new waste line. So water from the kitchen sink (and dishwasher) had just been soaking into the earth, and then had started to slowly back up in the pipe, coming out of an open pipe in the wall (the waste line plumbers had told us that line was dead; it was where the bathroom sink had joined the kitchen lateral, but the bathroom sink had been rerouted). We had the waste line plumbers back out the next day to take a look at it. Then fate intervened.

Some carbs to lift a foul mood. It's basically just a bunch of stuff- the last patty of Swedish meatball mix, a tomato, some of those cute little sweet peppers, parsley, onion, and garlic. I finished the sauce with a little cream and pasta water, with more parsley and some parmesan.

Came across this in a garage cleanout. Actually works, and came with a USAF training video.

Ugh. Meet the messiest garage in Portland.

Mr. Ivy says this pic makes us look like drunks, but truth be told, we hardly ever drink. Most of that stuff's been in our refrigerator a long, long time. Anyone that wants to come over and drink all that beer is welcome to it! :D

I'm having what I hope will be my last exam ever next Wednesday and I cant stop thinking about all the things I'll be doing when I'm done.

Dolly friends, stay tuned to my stream, I'm having a big cleanout as soon as I finish. Tomine (who has just stolen Hüsker's scalp) is the only one staying safe at home.

After the cleanout, the blank slate stage. The previous occupant did not actually die here. Some dork leaving a suite next door hollered "it's haunted" as he left one night, apparently as a joke, though it would have helped to have the social skillls to make it sound that way. Anyway, we suffered no hauntings. The woman to the other side said he would have been glad to have his old room house a creative business rather than yet another telemarketing firm.

A gutter system's interior cleanout in the stairwell of a Metra commuter train station in Chicago. I took this at dusk, which is the reason for the intense contrast between the dim orange stairwell light and the still-bluish sky outside

And it was twice as empty in another hour. All hail The Great Closer/Dresser Clean-Out of 2008!!

The mill drive gearing was upgrading to a cleaner method of lubrication so the gearpit had to be cleaned out; George and Paddy were the lucky ones. Maurie Ferris supervises the removal of the backhoe.

A hoarders house impacted from top to bottom in every room due to the house being a passive dumping ground for stuff outgrown by kids and grand kids or collected to amuse grand kids. The client was ready to let go of everything in the garage especially since she had suffered a flood from a backed up sewer line that was the cities fault, but ruined much of what she was saving in the bedrooms on the first floor.

It's very satisfying to throw out this much junk at once.

This is what CEO failure looks like.

And this CEO handled it in the absolute worst possible way. On top of refusing opportunities to keep base operations in place, refusing to listen to inside ideas on how to approach ongoing problems, and acting, well, like a responsible CEO, the dude tucked his tail between his legs and RAN. Literally.

He decided that the best way to close the company was to not tell anyone. He didn't tell us; we all learned about it from one another as we came in that day. He didn't tell building management and stiffed them on back rent. He didn't tell the customer base (which, in turn, leaves the customers' customers in the lurch as well). He didn't tell the board of directors or anyone that had taken a financial risk in investing. He didn't tell any of the partner record labels who were, come to find out, owed royalty payments for some time.

For a chief executive officer, he sure is a coward.

Check out our huge team working on a house cleanout job in Queens, New York City. We have the manpower and the muscle to get the job done. We have the right truck for any job as well. We have crushing power that can handle 3 average truck loads into our one.

The rain barrels will fill through this pipe. As the water enters into the top of the first rain barrel it will then flow to the other 6 barrels through the 3/4" line at the bottom. There is also a 3/4" overflow behind the 2" pipe that enters the barrel. In the middle of the backyard path there is a cleanout/drain for emptying the system for winter. This is covered by an 18"x18" paver to help protect and locate it.
