Sunday night fridge cleanout yields my favorite type of dinner -- a couple bites of everything and no particular culinary plan. Deviled eggs, cantelope, rosemary and garlic roast lamb, whole wheat pita, tomato and cuke salad with garlic and sheep yogurt dressing, bell peppers and carrots, and hummus. I LOVE leftovers.

We started cleaning out an entire winter's load of debris on the patio this weekend. The problem (as *I* see it) - is that we have too much stuff on the patio, and nowhere to put it while we clean. So it's a bit like those sliding plastic word puzzles, where you have to move this, before you can move that, before you can move this...So it took 4 times as long as it should have, and left me longing to toss out everything and start over.

Still - it will be worth it to have a comfortable place to sit and have that rare cup of coffee or brunch - or a glass or two of Muscato with friends.

So, I'm still working on the whole organized picture files thing... hahaha.

We cleaned out Grandma's old apartment today. John rented this U-Haul.

We spent an afternoon clearing and cleaning out the basement. It was...not like this before. I'd been saving all of our moving boxes but Andy convinced me to finally get rid of them. I also got more bins (I'm obsessed with bins!) for the last stuff in boxes. I tossed some stuff and have some to get rid of too. (We also still have some larger baby/kid items around the corner from this area that we need to sell.) But every time I go to the basement, I feel so happy to see just this neatly stacked and organized area instead of a messy maze of bins and boxes and crap!

I got tired of looking at the Nasoya brand wrappers in the fridge. They'd been there for months...and I didn't realize for how long until after dinner, when I checked the expiration date! June 5, 2013!

I made a filling with chopped cabbage, onions, garlic, ginger, shiitake mushrooms, bits of leftover cooked chicken thighs, chopped shrimp, shredded carrot, softened bean

thread noodles, and a bit of fish sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce for flavoring. I stir fried the contents until they were done, so after filling and wrapping they browned in about 30 seconds or less.

What I'm suggesting here is that you experiment by filling wrappers with whatever strikes your fancy, as long as it's cooked and not too wet!

(They look a bit haphazard because they were a bit dry and tore easily. I had to handle them very gingerly. They had been stored in a Ziploc freezer bag.)
