Sur la frappe sèche de la batterie, les riffs d'archet du violoncelle répondent aux riffs distordus de la cigarbox électrique ; une voix, lead, féminine, puis rejointe sur les chorus par une deuxième, une troisième, masculines, toutes trois légèrement éraillées sans rien perdre de leur chaleur, viennent renforcer d'un phrasé vigoureux la domination du rythme et du timbre.
Un rare mariage du plus acoustique et du plus électrique, un modèle d'équilibre, de simplicité et d'efficacité (...)

It set off all my WANT receptors LOL. So I bought some for myself, & then made a cigar box from a printout from Jim's Printable Minis. The toy soldiers are from the Re-ment Toy Story Happy Birthday set, & they are very tiny, but the marbles make them look huge.
+ NOTE TO SELF: Must place camera on flat and steady surface AND use a smaller pinhole for sharper background objects.

Cedar cigar box about 5 x 8 x 5; natural inside. Top is inlaid with turquoise stone, complimented by textured clay; powders and metallic glazes. Sides are carved and scribed.
My dad found a cigarbox full of these wonderful cancelled stamps from the 1950's at a garage sale. He thoughtfully gifted them to Ben and me for our enjoyment. I tried to pick out the best ones that were meaningful to me: states I have lived in, people and subjects I am interested in, etc.

this is a project i made for my girlfriend. You should be able to figure out what her name is. I made it out of a cigar box, that was about 8"x8"x3." I hand drew, painted and cut everything out. The best part is when you open it, like a popup book, it raises the hot air balloon.
Another gargoyle from the Kenan Fountain. Took this shot about 5 years ago with a new cartridge of film and most had a smearing defect on the exposures. It was either a 600 or an SX 70 rainbow.

Homemade 4x5 cigar box pinhole camera I have changed the focal length from 59mm to 44mm and made a new pinhole of 0.32mm, This was a 2 minute exposure on expired Fomapan 400 rated @ 200 ISO and developed in Diafine.

The idea for a summer vacation spot lies in the famed tenor's favorite little cigars, Swiss Villigers, a machine made air cured smoke pressed in very cool rectangular shapes reminding me of Hong Kong's soft banana candies of decades ago.
The cigar box is transformed into a tiny soccer game & Victrola. Sectional drawings proposed for an opera stadium are displayed on a gallery to the side. A soccer ball with Italian colors and a cardboard A.C Milan player (his favorite team) give the pastime a personal touch.
As was mentioned in my design drawing #150, this cigar box is an architectural scale model for the design, which as a funerary object in the manner of ancient Egypt, is not to be built but carried into the next world. In terms of utility and function, this is like a cricket cage belonging to a Chinese scholar, to be tucked into a pocket and carried on the body.
Pavarotti smoked Villigers in the summer only, once a week. They have a lovely Sumatra wrapper leaf. Note that John F. Kennedy also smoked a machine made cigar, by H. Upmann.

A pinot noir crafted from hand-harvested grapes from Chile's famed Casablanca Valley. Ruby colour with a bouquet of coffee, licorice and fig and hints of smoke and nuts. The initial palate is silky and elegant, followed by coffee and spicy fig fruit flavours. Try this with grilled salmon or roasted chicken with vegetables.
