A cigarette and cigar box from the days when keeping your tobacco handy for guests was en vogue. The sides swing up and there is a handle in the center for easy carting.
For my June Black and White, etc theme.
This cigar box was given to me by my father. I used it to store letters from old girlfriends. When my father passed, the box became more valuable than its contents.

it's an interchangeble lens, bellows focused, cigarbox, lens attachment for my digital camera.
i have always wanted to build such a beast, but seeing all the great through the viewfinder pictures lately made me realize that i better just get busy and do it.

I know it's a bit samey as the last one but I liked the way the distortion has 'narrowed' the boat. This is the last of my recent shots with my homemade cigar box pinhole camera. In fact I have just loaded the last of my sheet film into holders, only 4 shots to go! I better order a new box soon.

I shot this for Worldwide Pinhole Photography day, I didn't feel like leaving the house so I setup a few shots at home. This is the inside of my washing machine, I think it looks a bit like a russian gasmask.

Cigar Box Kitchen guitar maker Steve Zwetch holds a custom "Abbey Road" example at an upcycling event on Solano Avenue near the Berkeley/Albany border.
I meet up with my mates for a curry, I setup my pinhole camera, starters come and go. Beer gets drunk, we take pictures, laugh. Paul brought his Instax Mini printer, theres a shot on the table for a while.

Last one from the first 4 test sheets I shot with my homemade cigar box 4x5 pinhole. I've made a couple of mods now so the light leak should be gone, I have also added a ring on the front that a lens cap fits on to use like an old school pull on/off cap shutter. I was going to add a tripod socket but after thinking about it I decided that it was actually quite cool just walking around with the camera and finding stuff to balance it on, I might even do some hand held.

Homemade 4x5 cigar box pinhole camera focal length is 44mm and the pinhole size is 0.32mm, shot on Fomapan 100 and developed in Diafine.

Homemade 4x5 cigar box pinhole camera I have changed the focal length from 59mm to 44mm and made a new pinhole of 0.32mm, I still have a light leak. This was an 8-second exposure on expired Fomapan 400 rated @ 200 ISO and semi stand developed in Rodinal 1+100 for 1 hour.

Just loaded some sheets in my film holders for the 4x5 pinhole, hoping to have a wander with it after work tomorrow. Made me think of this still life shot I took with it when I had a single sheet left to shoot before developing. This in turn reminded me I have fixed the light leak!
