I have been waiting to start a Chevron scarf for forever (it seems). So, when I got my STR order in last night, I didn't even wait to ball the yarn and cast on. I've got about 10 inches done. I was hoping that I would be able to see more stripping between the light and dark yarn, but It is still so pirdy! Don't get me wrong, I do love it even though the stripping isn't as prominent. I am using STR medium in Fire on the Mountain and Watermelon Tourmaline.

Chevron Gas Station located at Del Amo and Long Beach Blvd. in Long Beach, California. Conbination Chevron Gas Station and Convenience Store. The Convenience Store recently added a sign: GM Food Mart. This is a photo of Chevron's Corner Sign, with prices as of January 22,2008. Located across the street is a 7 11, McDonalds/CVS as well as a Mobil Gas Station.

found the chevron "art piece" at a NYC thrift back around mother's day, i think. it was haphazardly stuffed into a frame. once i had it home i took it to be reframed, adding an 8-ply cotton rag mat and a yellow and silver metal frame that seems to be made for the print itself (it has silver accents)...really happy with how it turned out. :)

A court in Ecuador has found Chevron guilty of massive environmental pollution and human rights violations in the Amazon, and has ordered the company to pay $8 billion to clean it up. But Chevron has vowed to appeal the decision, and clearly plans to stall indefinitely, hoping never to pay its due. So the Change Chevron team got together with our friends and allies at Amazon Watch, Greenpeace, Global Exchange, and Communities for a Better Environment (of Richmond, CA) headed down to Chevron’s HQ in San Ramon, CA, and delivered a message to the company: Chevron was found guilty because the company is guilty. Time to accept responsibility and clean up the oily mess in Ecuador!

I knit this scarf using Melody by Jojoland. I followed the pattern from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts", Chevron Scarf. Take my word for it, there is no last minute to this scarf, it takes a long while to knit.
