Focused on the Queen to ensure she had a crisp silhouette. Using shallow depth of field (f/1.8) I dropped the pawns out of focus. A candle was placed behind the queen and white artist sketch paper used as a backdrop. Adjustments (including addition of grain) made in Lightroom.
Well what did I do today? I woke up at 12 and lazed around watching House and played Chess. And to my surprise I only lost once today and had one stalemate out of around 15 games :P Guess I was lucky today haha. It turned out to be 11pm and we just went out for a walk and I got some ice cream from a store. Half of it melted on me and I feel like a kid haha. We walked back after wards and played some more chess haha. I was supposed to be back in NY tonight but my friends convinced me to stay and watch Inception tomorrow and then head home. I saw Shutter Island which was really good and it's by the same director and Leonardo DiCaprio.
