Two workers at war on the chess board kerbside

When was the last time you won a game of chess against a kid? One who doesn't listen, one who's cerebration is uncluttered, objectified in one, axiomatic principle, "WIN". If he/she is unsuccessful , he/she will topple the board over...in an infantile out-pore of rage.

Have you asked yourself lately if you have been considerate, of other people's feelings and emotions? Or have you been fueling that 'inner kid' in yourself? Stubborn and sullied, unable to process rational outcomes in decisions/opinions of others?

Farashganj, May 2011

I thought about heading all the way to the Burlington Road cut west of Oregon, but the sun was fading fast. Instead, since I had such a huge head start, I decided to go for the lesser-known cut at M.P. 97 just east of Oregon. I've always wanted to get a shot here, but it requires a substantial hike. I'd say it was worth it.

If you enjoy a good game of chess, give www.chess.com a try. You can try asking me for a game, but I'm not real active right now: www.chess.com/members/view/xMenace

Chuck evening out the playing field against the squirrels.

He can easily jump to the top of the fences around our backyard where the squirrels use them as their own highway system around the neighborhood. He has discovered this system and likes to patrol it. This is a favorite spot as its nice and shaded by the large maple tree to the left and has access to the neighbors pergola to his right.

Don't worry, we don't let him roam without supervision.

Also, that's his new Black Bow Tie. Dressed for success!

A conceptual still life inspired by the tension and silence that follows a decisive move.

Shot with controlled studio lighting, using smoke and a diffused flash to create a cinematic, moody atmosphere.

The idea was to capture the symbolic contrast between victory and defeat - the calm after conflict.

white chess dame killed the black king. uhhh ;)

Keukenhof Garden, The Netherlands.

The groynes at Lepe are looking very much like chess pieces to my eyes ! Good to see the sun again but it's only brief. Today I'm looking after Astrida who's getting over flu. (thankfully not Covid)

Espresso will hit the spot when Monday falls on a Tuesday

SURVIVE IT!!!

Claytons Tower; long thought to be a chimney, was recently renovated and found to contain no traces of soot at all. I doubt William Clayton would have approved of a telegraph pole erected in front of his folly, but in fact the tower was built to face the west - this is a side view
