Chess figures built with LEGO bricks are not new, but I wanted to add my version to the idea. I think chess figures on their own are a little sober. So to bring them to life I thought it interesting to confront the chess figures with original LEGO characters! ;-)

Checkerboard Mesa, a 6,520 foot-tall sandstone summit in Zion National Park. The recent snow covered up the mesa's distinctive lines that resemble a checkers game board.

Style Lab Wonderland Poppy Parker is modeling a vintage Francie fashion called Checkmates no.1259 from 1966. The beret and shoes are from Volks "Who's that Girl".
This photo illustrates the idea of being trapped in an environment to the point where you start adapting to it. The visual of the chessboard design on the subject and on the ground provide an instant geometric disaster on screen which helps further this idea.
