Within the former German-Soviet Environmental Agreement in the years 1989-1991 3 biological expeditions to the Taymyr peninsula in northernmost Siberia were performed. They laid the ground for a partnership agreement between the Taymyrsky Zapovednik (nature reserve) and the Schleswig-Holstein Waddensea National Park and later the establishment (1993) of the Great Arctic Reserve (Zapovednik). The Taymyr peninsula is covered by the most extensive and northernmost tundra habitats in Siberia. These enormous wetlands are used during the short Arctic summer by millions of waterbirds, which winter in Southern Europe, Southern Asia and Africa. The biodiversity of the Taymyr peninsula is with 20% well covered with different kinds of protected areas. However, there may be need to connect them by South-North corridors to secure adaptation of biodiversity moving North with climate change. With increased warming and thawing of tundra massive release of methane stored in the ground could trigger further climate change.

Thought I be a bit experimental today. Sometimes nature gives you abstracts.
This is from last weekend when I decided to start going out to shoot pictures again. I have been very busy lately and not in the mood for photography. I took my beloved Leica with me, forgot to check the battery status and ended up with a dead battery after 25 shots.
It was great.

I don’t want to be one of those people who drove around for years with the “W” stickers on their car proclaiming their partisan allegiance to everyone around them in traffic. I want to be one of those people whose allegiance is to ideas and to our country.
I want to be the American I wished they would have been. I want to hold leaders accountable when they fail. I want to be vigilant through the challenging times that lie ahead. I want government that is prepared to lift America back up.
The election is over, and we all have one big mess to clean up.

Here, the tents of the Sunday morning farmers' market that takes place at lower Fort Mason in San Francisco. The adjacent historic buildings now house museums, galleries, restaurants, shops, and nonprofit offices. A great conversion.

One, New Change is a modern development right next to St Paul's Cathedral, architecturally you couldn't find a more stark contrast. One New Change features many different planes and angles, all of which catch the light in interesting ways, and reflect back glimpses of the dome of St Paul's.

The new buildings right across from where I live, had some scratches in the windows (occurred during construction), so this was changing "almost new" to "brand new". The crane operator, Emil, was kind to let me follow his work for an hour...
Every year I find the shiny stroms are getting worse. More floods and bigger winds. I think the sea will come inland and theres no stopping it as more don't care then the ones that do care :(
I love going to the see the sea, but I don't want it in my living room :(
I think that climate change activist make people care less about climate change as the activist tell everyone off even the ones who are fighting for climate change. I know this as I know a scientist in RL = real life who has told me this.

Leonard and his charming wife just arrived at the river. She is a flycaster too, but said that it was too cold fer her today and so she sat on shore reading a book. Very nice people the two of them.
