Grassi Lakes, Canmore, Alberta

I have never seen a lake like the upper and lower ones at Grassi Lakes. The water is always so calm, clear, and free of pollution that it takes my breath away every single visit. This was my first time visiting outside of the summer months, and it did not disappoint. I was struck by the contrast of the evergreen (and always green) pine trees, against the bold yellows and oranges of the surrounding bushes and trees, and the way it had such a stark reflection on the aquamarine blue of the water. This is one of those places in the Rockies that I especially hope never reflects the increase in human traffic and maintains its serene, natural beauty.

After conflict, we make communities beautiful again. Artists 4 Israel brings art, healing and protection to communities and people ravished by war.

We awaken avant-garde artists in underrepresented art forms to the power of their work to create social change, and we cover the scars on bodies, objects and minds in communities in need in Israel and around the world.

We uplift all people, regardless of race, religion, gender or national origin, to overcome the struggles of living in crises with permanent and direct quality of life changes through our arts and culture based humanitarian aid and social service projects.

This will be the last photo of her cheek piercings, she'll be getting dahlia piercings in a few days when my supplies come ^o^ When this stuff comes i can actually make her medusa visible, wooo.

Anyways, I wanted to write up some facts about her personality because they've changed a little... andI'mtoolazytowriteafullstory. I wrote a little bit about her donating to the community but turns out she's more of a bitch than I originally thought rofl

so new stuff:

1. Blair Adelaide is a half Japanese/half Australian rich bitch. One of her distant, multi-millionaire relatives passed away a few years ago leaving her with a fortune. She didn't know that relative and to her knowledge there are no others.

2. She doesn't give a f*ck about what people think. She walks around in lingerie and loves the attention she gets.

3. She is 22 years old. Her birthday is the 2nd of December.

4. Blair loves her body and takes care of it. She eats pretty healthily (excusing the alcohol and cigarettes..). Her favourite foods are sushi, okonomiyaki, seafood soup with crusty bread and vegetable pizza. But she'll mostly she'll eat healthy Japanese dishes such as grilled salmon and sesame tofu.

5. She's a nymphomaniac and has many friends with benefits. She has toys too (((SPIRITDOLL PROUD BODY EXTRA PARTS PAINTED HOT PINK LOOOL. It will make an appearance when i get an idea xD)))

6. She loves herself. She thinks she's a freaking Goddess.

7. Even though Blair has more than enough money she will still get (good looking) men to buy her things. She likes to feel powerful.

8. She's pretty much mastered the art of flirting (((can I take lessons?))) along with the "bedroom eyes".

9. Blair likes to keep the men's shirts she's slept with as a "souvenir", this is why most of her clothes look too big for her.

10. She is a HEAVY smoker. Blair likes to collect fancy cigarettes, e.g. Black Devils.

(((something we have in common rofl)))

Earlier today, while enjoying a walk with my wife around UVIC, I took this photo of some leaves changing colours in the afternoon breeze.

Previously,

Unlike the previous wall with its confused message(s), this is quite clear. Last year I missed the eventful months of Gezi protests and wider social and political unrest. On my next visit I discovered these inconspicuous stencil graffiti, leaving little doubt what it's about. In a largely peaceful and friendly Istanbul, those were some signs of changing times...

A picture which neatly sums up our ever-changing world. Once upon a time coal was almost exclusively used to generate electricity. Fossil fuels are now a thing of the past and we now rely on alternative sources.

On the left is the Solar Farm, on the right the site of the completely obliterated Kellingley Colliery. 60056 is working back to Merseyside for a refill of biomass - another alternative source of energy. The closed Power Station at Ferrybridge has been replaced by a much smaller multifuel plant which burns anything BUT coal!

After much re-touch, I finally got the photo I wanted. The bad patches on the face, I got rid off, the overworked touch-ups were deleted and voila, here's the photo!

I'm returning to the recently extremely variable weather, to show snow coverings and the colours of autumn. The snow covered fern and rose made good shapes. A day later it had cleared and I took the sumac head,

There comes a time in the life of every photographer when he (or she) decides that it's time to 'play' with their zoom lens. This is one of my early attempts. It was taken in a church in Delft in The Netherlands. My camera was on a tripod. I think the exposure was about two seconds, zooming only for the second half of that (as near as I could estimate it).

Previously, Delta has already revealed that capacity is to be reduced into the UK for the upcoming Winter 2016/2017 schedule following the United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union.

Airline Route has published two different schedule changes mainly affecting its London Heathrow routes, the two schedule changes are during the Winter 2016 timeframe and Summer 2017 timeframe.

For the Winter 2016/2017 schedule, Delta is to switch operational aircraft on both its London Heathrow to Detroit and Minneapolis routes. The changes commence from 29th October 2016 until 25th March 2017, which include:

-Detroit: DL18/19 converts from Boeing 767-400ER to Boeing 767-300ER operation, converting back to Boeing 767-400ER for the Summer 2017 schedule whilst DL16/17 will operate utilise Boeing 767-300ER's.

-Minneapolis: DL10/11 converts from Boeing 767-400ER to Boeing 767-300ER operation.

The Summer 2017 schedule sees Delta recommencing its 3rd daily flight between London Heathrow and Atlanta, following the announcement that Virgin Atlantic will be transferring one of two daily flights back over to Delta.

DL28/29 will continue to utilise Boeing 767-400ER's, DL30/31 will utilise Boeing 767-300ER's, however DL32/33 will utilise Airbus A330-300's.

For the first time since Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines merger, Airbus A330's operated by the US carrier will make a comeback after a lengthy absence (not including emergency diversions). Prior to the merger, Northwest Airlines regularly utilised Airbus A330's into London, first at Gatwick during the Bermuda II Agreement and finally London Heathrow from 2008 following the introduction of the EU-US Open Skies Agreement.

During the merger of Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines as both fleets started to be integrated, Airbus A330's were largely concentrated operating from major SkyTeam hubs, however with the fleet integration, Boeing 767's beame concentrated on other routes.

Delta currently operates the largest Boeing 767 fleet in the world with 91 in service, which includes 12 Boeing 767-300's, 58 Boeing 767-300ER's and 21 Boeing 767-400ER's.

November Eight Three Six Mike Hotel is one of 21 Boeing 767-400ER's in service with Delta, delivered new to the carrier in December 2000 and she is powered by 2 General Electric CF6-80C2B7F engines.

Today marks the day that my boyfriend Jay and I, began being nonsmokers. After smoking cigarettes for over 10 years, we quit exactly one year ago. So today, I celebrate the will and the want to change.

I wish you a Happy New Year! Have fun in 2013! :-)

A little all over the shop this morning, some OK light when the clouds decided not to block it. Some fun little shore breaking waves rolled through occasionally.

Even rained on my way home!

It's Saturday so I will take it… enjoy your weekend.

First of all, sorry I was late...This is for Round 8 submission ( I've missed the R9 sign up :( )..I was challenged by Elo-365 (Who has an amazing stream!) to pick the first song that came up in my ipod and use that song as a theme. So I shuffled my ipod and "Change" came up from "The Cranberries"

Although I had so many ideas but couldn't make it with my extremely busy schedule. However, this shot didn't come out as I wanted it but given the time I had, this is the best I can do.. ..I used my iPhone to get all the shot and I tried to stand at the exact same spot every time I took the shot to get the same perspective...So these shots were taken on the same day from 0630 to 1930 (for the different lighting)...(Wish I had brought my SLR and a tripod!) Hahahaha...

So CHANGE in my interpretation is the same subject with different lights condition....SO there Elo, what a challenge...thanks so much!

During my late teens I spent some time working for a local pizza joint. One night a guy came in and asked me if I could give him change for a twenty. I complied and counted out the smaller bills. While I was counting the dough, he asked me if I could give him a couple of fives in place of the ten. All the time he kept up a lively banter. When I'd finished the transaction, he pulled out another twenty and said he forgot he had to pay some money to a friend and would appreciate change for that one too. I sighed and counted out the bills. All the while he kept up the cheerful conversation and once again he asked me to break down one of the tens. Then he asked me to give him a few bucks worth of quarters for the cigarette machine and that was it.

The next morning the manager of the store informed me that I was twenty bucks short when the receipts were tallied up. I knew immediately that I'd been had. To this day I'm not sure how the guy conned me, but con me he did.

Seeing the shady looking guy above at one of counters at the Ferry Building brought back some serious memories.

26th February 2018. Here you can see BR 4MT 4-6-0 No.75078 charging up the Oakworth banking towards Haworth with a mixed goods train. This was not a normal day for the Keighley And Worth Valley Railway as the 30742 Photo Group had hired the BR Standard 4 to run all day on the KWVR line as the railway was closed to the public.

I felt quite pleased with this photograph as most of the photographers had stayed on the other side of the line so they would get more light from the sun in their shots. However, the organisers encourage you to move around and not just get the standard shot. We had already done a few runs with 75078 were I had taken some photographs on the other side - so now it was time to think outside the box.

When I edited the picture in LightRoom I just did my usual editing but also lightened the shadows to make the scene more acceptable.

I've come to realize that the only thing in life that is constant... is change.
