Who needs to go to New England to see the fall leaves? All the colour changes were on display in Cumbria last Autumn.
Kayaking for Climate Change Awareness was a five-and-a-half hour (approx 350 minute) paddling event. Moving Planet for us is the embodiment of "human powered watercraft" and represents the deep connection kayakers have with our water and environment.

Photos from the making of Tira Palmquist's world-premiere play 'Two Degrees' by the DCPA Theatre Company. Emma, a climate-change scientist, is invited to share her findings at a Senate hearing that could define her career and her cause. But if she can’t overcome her inner struggle, her dedication and sacrifices may not be enough. 'Two Degrees, directed by Christy Montour-Larson, runs Feb. 3-March 12 in the Jones Theatre. A small alleyway off Haiain road selling clothes and local foods. Tainan city in the south west of Taiwan was the first area to host Europeans. The old port city had fallen into decline and was rejuvenated by artists who moved into the derelict buildings and brought them back to life. 10/12/2010, Tainan, Taiwan.
"And now I've watched the leaves changing colour for the second time,
Am I getting closer to you or am I running blind?
I'm moving through our lives backwards just to meet you at the start
I can't tell if we're together or just falling back apart"
~ 'Come Home', Daniel Powter
In other news, I've given up on my 52 weeks project due to heath issues. It's become too difficult to do a self-portrait shoot every week, so I decided just to give it away. I'm still doing them when I feel like it, but I actually think it's working better only doing it when I feel inspired :)
new chair (yes, it is vinyl, but no, it doesn't always look this cheap -- damn you, afternoon light!) from my friendly neighborhood vintage furniture shop. this chair is from the 30's, and it weathered the depression and everything after right here in brooklyn.
i've come to terms with the squid, as you can see.
the bookshelf is unfortunately there for the forseeable future (or until i find something better for super cheap).
I went to Maligne Lake to finally get an awesome sunset, but stumbled upon two moose instead. I was excited but also a little bit disappointed because I couldn't get to the lake shore for sunset pictures. The sunset was really colorful and it looked like they were there everyday, so I thought I would have an other change to take pictures of the Moose some other day. Of course that was not true, later on I found out I was very lucky to see them so up close. I decided to make the most of it and take some pictures just so I had something to look back on to remember this encounter. Like a tourist you know, not in mind taking really good pictures. Later when I went through my pictures, I was surprised how good they were. With the fog on the lake and the colours of the sunset in the background. I got excited all over again 😉 Hope you like it as much as I do! Enjoy!

I didn't change so that you one day might love me, I changed so that one day I might love myself.
This is the result of staying up too late, running on little sleep and thoughts about you. It's so ridiculous. Anyway, used double lamps to brighten my eyes, but it seems like the makeup didn't stand out as much as I had planned on it doing so, even when I applied it heavier. I think I'm happy with the final result. I hate it, I love it on and off. What do you think?
Even in Winter on a walk on through The Withlacoochee River Park in the Green Swamp Section near Dade City, Florida, you can find brightly colored nature. This cluster of orange leaves caught my attention sitting in the middle of a field of dried brown.
