There are new subdivisions coming closer to this spot all the time. I fear my quiet road will be gone in a few years.
Happy Fence Friday

Another fishing boat docked for the night in the small village of Alma on the Bay of Funday. Now this name of “Fundy Fury”, I can understand as I have experienced some of the fierce winds of the Maritimes. We actually drove down just after a light hurricane breezed through the Atlantic Provinces. That is another bonus of being retired. We can change our plans to avoid the bad weather! Then we get to enjoy the peaceful side of Fundy; like this scene.
The Evzones (Greek: Εύζωνες), is the name of several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army.
Today, it refers to the members of the Presidential Guard, an elite ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Mansion and the gate of Evzones camp in Athens. The Evzones are also known, colloquially, as Tsoliades.
I could not resist posting another image of the Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) because of the different canvas I was able to capture the bird flying along the beach.

The colours of the autumn leaves mean cooler nights and days for me. Hooray.
HMM!
Macro Mondays: Equinox
So much happened recently and obviously all for a good change.
Not just my hair changed but so much more.
I just build a new home for my family and me to enjoy summer to the fullest and I cannot wait to share with them.
When painting the walls of our new home I thought I could need a new paint too! There you go!
All I gonna need the next months is sun screen and shorts.. done.
Oh and BTW: my golden bracelet says “Florens”
My darling hurry back to me soon! I miss you terribly! ❤️

Unable to decide between Copp or Full Frame !
I want to inform you that I will be more or less absent from Flickr during the month of September. First, because I am finally changing my internet provider and I have to go to my little sister's house in Prince Edward Island for a while sometime in September.
For the moment I am still at home finalizing my outside work on the land and the house. My current Internet package will end on August 31, 2022, so I will no longer be able to post until I receive and plug in the new Star Link provider sometime in September, or if I am somewere and have Internet...
For today post, I really didn't know which to post, the Copped picture or the Full Frame one? So I leave it up to you to decide which one you prefer.
I'm adding this picture of the Amber Fort in Jaipur as World Elephant Day is tomorrow. It was my next stop after Ranthambore Park as well. This trip encompassed so many varied destinations. It was a difficult, but an outstanding itinerary.
There are demonstrations occurring in the city as the day grows near. I will let you read the article.

I first saw elephants in Asia where they are used as working beats of burden. It seemed so common place I gave the practice little thought until I went to Africa and saw the gentle giants in the wild. My thoughts changed and it is nice to see that the Indian people are demanding change
Evidence of changing modes of transport over time: an obsolete rail station for a now phantom line, bollards protecting a walking and cycling path from the intrusion of motorized vehicles, and a charging station for electric vehicles.
07-July-2022, h06.38PM, towards Koper town (that's under the rain).
This is the only (scarcely) significant precipitation (5-15mm or l/m2) of this summer (from 1 June), so far, has been short but managed to change the air for (...) 3 days, then hot and muggy returned for most of July.
Autumn reminds me of continual change more than any other season.
"There is nothing permanent except change."
Greek philosopher Heraclitus
The hues change, leaves fall, light lessens each day. Today I let the wind blow the autumn leaves until I found a RAW image I sort of liked. Shooting into the sun.
Thanks for looking, for your faves, and for your comments.
(Rented camera while mine is cleaned.)
A sweet gum tree begins the path of restoring leaves to the whole tree. Buds begin to form all over. Branches point upward to reach for maximum sunlight and begin...again. Hope you all can begin again, and have a great weekend too!
Eric Clapton - Change the World:
The harlequin glorybower tree, also known as the Peanut Butter tree, is full of surprises. I think this information below explains it best.
"They have 5 white petals, held within a green calyx which turns red as the fruits ripen. The flowers are not self-pollinating, so at least two plants are needed to produce fruit. The fruits (drupes) are white, changing to bright blue and eventually dark blue on maturity. The flowers appear in late summer and early autumn, and the berries can remain on the tree well into the winter season. Flowers and mature fruits can occur at the same time."
Time is the process of creation, and things of space are results of creation. When looking at space we see the products of creation; when intuiting time we hear the process of creation. Things of space exhibit a deceptive independence. They show off a veneer of limited permanence. Things created conceal the Creator. It is the dimension of time wherein man meets God, wherein man becomes aware that every instant is an act of creation, a Beginning, opening up new roads for ultimate realizations. Time is the presence of God in the world of space, and it is within time that we are able to sense the unity of all beings.
-Abraham Joshua Heschel, The Sabbath
NS local C46 out of Norfolk Southern's Pitcairn Yard and intermodal terminal sits amongst the shining gold ginkgo (pronounced ging-kho) trees that line both sides of the 4 track trench. They are stopped waiting on a signal at CP-PENN to proceed into Island Avenue yard to make their set outs and pick ups to take back to Pitcairn with them. On the east end of the train was 1 of the 2 pairs of NS GP33ECO's that are assigned to the Pittsburgh area to improve air quality and reduce emissions.
These trees are just a small part of Pittsburgh's beautiful Allegheny Commons Park West that is located just a block or 2 away from both the Pittsburgh Pirate's PNC Park and the Pittsburgh Steelers Heinz Field. Traditonally these leaves are always some of the last, if not the very last in the city to change before the winter arrives.
Oddly enough this year, they are not despite reaching their prime peak about 2 weeks later than usual. Some parts of the city still actually have green leaves on the trees as of November 23rd...and it's 1 day until Thanksgiving! Absolutely insanity. I've never seen anything like this before.
