Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone.

We visited Mammoth Hot Springs 30 years ago. It is quite amazing to see how much they had changed. Such a special and unique place.

Whilst on route to a river location I found myself on this amazing corn field with this large tree on the side, I loved the dramatic colours throughout these stormy sunset clouds, I think its the season change from Summer to Autumn that's causing these dramatic skies lately

30 Days of Perception - Day 29

Wonder: a feeling of amazement and admiration when taking notice of something quite remarkable.

Nature, in all its forms fills me with wonder. As I see, and admire from my kitchen window, my little basket of strawberry plants. I find it so amazing that the leaves know exactly when to change colour. They're prompted by the cooler nights and shorter days which trigger changes in the leaves that have consequences on their colour. The productions of green chlorophyll stops and the green fades leaving yellow, orange and red pigments

The changing colours of leaves fills me with wonder.

”If we meet life with wonder, it’s always new, always fresh. We don’t need experiences - just encounters.” ~ Maggie Ross.

Today, I encountered these colourful strawberry plant leaves and they filled me with joy!

Words are flying out like

endless rain into a paper cup

They slither while they pass

They slip away across the universe

Pools of sorrow waves of joy

are drifting through my open mind

Possessing and caressing me

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which

dance before me like a million eyes

That call me on and on across the universe

Thoughts meander like a

restless wind inside a letter box

they tumble blindly as

they make their way across the universe

Jai guru deva om

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Sounds of laughter shades of earth

are ringing through my open view

exciting and inviting me

Limitless undying love which

shines around me like a million suns

It calls me on and on across the universe

We'll be getting a new Prime Minster.

A little bit of pain

And a little bit of pleasure

Is enough to make me never say never.

Been wanting to take pics with her for a while now... really happy it finally happened! I'm really loving this shoot :)

A Common Loon in transition plumage. This was my first time seeing this change in plumage. Its markings are really striking but also tough to get it right.

Sorry for being mostly off!

When driving home from work, I had a feeling this could become a nice sunset light. So I decided to drive to lake Ehmetsklinge and got my camera into position for some long exposures. What a nice afterglow, there was to come.

Having watched the debates, I have change on the brain, and wanted to go back into my Washington archives. I wish I was a citizen, so that I could vote.

On a lighter note, I was thinking the other day about how our motivations for faving images on Flickr may differ. For what purpose do you click the fave button?

Week 1/52, 2017

This week’s theme for my 52 project is “the times they are a changin,” the Bob Dylan song. My year started with the flu and an unplanned hospital stay, which is why I’ve been off Flickr for the last few weeks. I was put on isolation unable to leave my hospital room for almost a week. With limited options, I took this picture from my hospital room window. I liked the clouds and I processed it to give it a cold, winterish look. I felt like the clouds and light gave it the look of coming change.

Change what you're doing... to change what you're getting!

Everybody's Changing

Keane

You say, you wander your own land

But when I think about it, I don't see how you can

You're aching, you're breaking

And I can see the pain in your eyes

Says Everybody's Changing, and I don't know why

So little time

Try to understand that I'm

Trying to make a move just to stay in the game

I try to stay awake and remember my name

But Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel the same

You're gone from here

Soon you will disappear, fading into beautiful light

'Cause Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel right

Going back through some images from our trip down to Cooma, just over a year ago, and I came across this one.

We found this tree, whilst out on a scouting mission for the following mornings sunrise, and it was just screaming out to be photographed, with that cloud behind it.

Hope you like "Everybody's Changing"

Cheers, Mike

Changes in the weather.

Herefordshire Beacon, Worcestershire.

Can you see the kite?

Time to change it up again for a bit so, I'm going to end my 'current' Elk series with this . . .

The change of petticoat worked well beause my denim skater skirt had more of a flare to it. The cotton top was not as sexy as the faux leather bodice but it turned out to be a good decision to change my top because the venue was quite warm.

It was much fuller than it has been on recent Fridays due to the live band, who were excellent. They were a blues band and had two exceptionally good lead guitarists. I wish I'd recorded some of their stuff. The highlight for me was a superb rendition of 'All Along the Watchtower'.

Waiting for change - Cottonwood tree starting to change color. Fall, New Mexico, 2018

Two families of Mute Swans were raised on the lake this year. The ones on east end of the lake had goslings that were white from the start; the west end swans were gray at the beginning, and have evolved over the months into a mottled white with gray and now the gray is more brown as it's changing into the pure white that swans are noted for. In addition, the bills of young swans are gray, but change to orange as they mature. This one shows the change that is coming.

So many things changed the way I see myself.

It's like I'm born again, still with the same defects than before, but also with more self-confidence.

It seems I can be truly loved the way I am, and for the first time of my life I start to believe it. It gives me wings, it gives me a new strength, it gives me the freedom to play with my body, my image, without carrying too much about what people can think about it (oh, that was so funny to play the model in this cold and smelly place, people looking at me like I was an alien :D). If I like it, if I enjoy expressing myself the way I do, that's what matters.

The worse moment of my life was the starting point which made me realize I really had to do something, to take care about myself, seriously. Then I would be able to take care about someone I love.

That meant to do sport, to stop hurting myself with food which isn't good for me, but especially to start loving myself and allowing me not to be perfect. For real, this time, not only with words but with actions.

I jumped from this plane in april this year (pure craziness!!!), and not alone. With the most precious person to my heart today. Someone so generous.

By the way, halenism helped me for this pic (and for so much more).
