I saw this 1000 steps challenge in a video by Thomas Heaton who’s videos I’ve been following quite some time now.
With this picture I needed to cheat a little as I needed to take a detour to reach the required 1000 steps. I’ve never published a picture from this location even that I’ve tried it a couple of times, but I’ve never been happy with the result. This time I had high hopes but as I waited to have more pleasing light all clouds disappeared from the sky. As exposure blending was not allowed, I decided to expose to the right and go with a moodier look.

In post-processing, I started with the Frost Finished photo, converted it to black and white, then cropped and enlarged twice.
How lucky is this??!! We caught 3 Krewe of Freret fanny packs this year and got to share one with my sister!! This is hers. 😊 Krewe of Freret is Trombone Shorty’s parade! A fantastic throw to catch!

Pictured is the UK Main Battle Tank, Challenger 2 Theatre Entry Standard (CR2 TES) fitted with a Mobile Camouflage System (MCS). ..This platform is the reference vehicle for the British Army and it is held at the Armoured Trials and Development Unit (ATDU) in Bovington. This tanks internal nickname is Megatron.
It is shown during testing at the Bovington test ground.

Not long ago, I participated in something called the Shrek Challenge. I read about it on Twitter. When I told my family about it, the kids thought that it would be something disgusting. They were relieved when I told them that this consisted of drawing a picture of Shrek from memory, without looking at a picture of him. As you see, I forgot about his white shirt. But considering that I have seen only one Shrek movie, and that was years ago, I think I did pretty good.

I spent this winter obsessed with completing the vintage castle sets I always wanted as a kid. I got 6060 Knights Challenge in a lucky mixed lot of bricks :)
