The towers of the Pedestrian Bridge of Alcácer do Sal stand out in the distance, across from the town's Town Hall building.
Alcácer do Sal, Setúbal - Portugal
As torres da Ponte Pedonal de Alcácer do Sal destacam-se à distância, do outro lado da rua do edifÃcio da Câmara Municipal da cidade.
Syngnathus louisianae found among seagrass in shallow Gulf waters. Calhoun County, Texas - November 2025.
I was thrilled to see several of these remarkable fish while exploring the shallows at night. If you look closely you can actually see at least three individuals in this image.
The chain on one of my hanging baskets in the garden. I often think they are going to just crumble apart. HMM
I find the ripples look quite hypnotic, don't they? Those rusty and menacing chains adds to the experience. A minimalistic shot for being one of mine, but I've considered doing more of them. Might try it out when I go to Singapore.

This Bokeh Wednesday shot brought to you by the Kink Bike Co., makers of fine BMX bike parts, like the Bedlam 25T 7075T6 chain sprocket! To quote the infamous bmx-er extraordinaire himself, Walid Guggisburg, "Every kid in America should have one of these babys!"
This chain was on the bocket watch in the previous pictures. I think it was original to the watch, but I have no way of verifying this.
It looks like the focus was on the material (wool) under the chain instead of the chain itself.
The fuzzy objects in this image are all galaxies.
This stretched region of galaxies is named Markarian's Chain. It is part of the Virgo Cluster which itself is a part of the Virgo Supercluster. Our Milky Way belongs to the so called Local Group which is also part of the Virgo Supercluster. So these galaxies are kind of our neighbors if you will.
Overall integration time in this image is 53x120 seconds totalling in 1h 46m exposure time. Shot with my little 72/432mm refractor and a OSC (IMX571).
I submitted this to Astrometry.net in order to get it annotated here in flickr.
